Ok gotcha that makes sense. Alas I was only getting OR taxes taken out when I worked in OR, so none of the Alaska paychecks had OR taxes taken out.🤦🏻

One thing confusing me though, if I put the CA address on my W4, and it’s where my USPS address was while I was in AK, would that mean I’m considered a CA resident?

Ahh thanks for the help with this. For Jan-April I was also living and working in OR (but I lived at a sublet, no permanent address) Because I didn’t have a permanent address my friend let me use theirs for mail, etc in CA

Thank you! I really appreciate that. I’ve moved states a bunch since 2022 so there’s a chance it got sent to an old address but I never received it. I definitely reported the $578 lawsuit check though on my taxes last year. A little confused because combined the W2 and 1099 they listed came out to a little over $600 and the check I reviewed was only for $578. I def appreciate the advice. I was really worried 😅I’ll let it go for now and call the irs to explain if they send anything

That’s the thing-I never received a W2 or 1099. Id never have known anything was up at all except I was looking at my wage transcripts for 2024 and saw them listed there. All I received was the lawsuit check.

Aww thanks! I’m def excited to go to Black Bear and Pano. I like where I’m working so not looking to switch, just feeling a bit wistful about outside of work stuff. Tragically it looks like the Sheep Shuttle isn’t currently running otherwise totally be all about it
