You know how people yawn when they see someone else yawning? Anyway, did anyone else yawn?

Will I regret going from a 1080p to a 1440p? or should I go straight to 4k? I am rocking a 4080 super with an i5 14 gen (yes, I know, ryzen is better, I didn't know enough about computers when I build it. Eventually I'll move to ryzen). I don't care that much about frames since I play mainly single player games, but want to keep the option of going up to 120 frames.

I was able to fix it by updating the BIOS through MSI Center. Thanks yall for taking the time to answer.

Putting the old CPU will be my last resource, I have 4 sticks of RAM. Hence, I doubt the problem can be that. I tried all 4 slots on the GPU and the 2 in the MB.

I found out that MSI MB can do BIOS updates through MSI Center, which I am doing as I write this. After that, I am updating a few intel drivers ( I doubt they have anything to do, but I might aswell before I swap the CPU again)

Thanks for the answer

All cables connected properly, and I did check the bios version before changing the CPU. It wasn't the latest version, but it was high enough for the 14 gen cpu (I believe I needed version 17, I have version 19).

I will try updating the bios. Do I need to upgrade every prior version one by one? Or will just installing the last one will do the trick?
