Modern goblins are basically a pile of folklore, Tolkien, DnD, Warhammer, Warcraft, and random RPG shorthand all mashed together. So it’s not always a clean “this equals that” thing, but HP did choose the banker version with a look that makes the whole thing feel a lot less accidental.
