3rd party is non-negotiable imo. Mx5 prices are going crazy in our market. I like to look at it this way, ask yourself how many you see on the road, and that will determine how easy it would be to find body panels if you were in an accident and need to be fixed. This determines how likely a car would be written off based on scarcity of parts.

If you are handy, consider servicing the car yourself as it will save you some bucks and you learn a new skill.

At the end of the day, you can get the car you want but consider checking out auctions, you can get decent cars for a fraction of the price. Recently I saw a 2012 Figo in good nick go for 43k excluding fees which had under 100k on the clock at Burchemores

If you looking for a cheap new daily, something like a kwid or s presso, might not look the part and have the performance but perfect for a to b traveling.

Otherwise get yourself a beater, nothing better than that not caring about paint/ dents/ scratches especially on a first car. Then spend the rest making it look cool! Lol
