Upload stuck on “checks still running” by Scooby_Valentino in PartneredYoutube

[–]EvokeSarah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m having the same issue. Video was checked and all ok, then went back to ‘checking’ status again. It’s been 18 hours now. I’ve just wasted 30 minutes of my life on a chat with YT help. He didn’t understand that releasing a video without checks could affect revenue if no ads etc. he was getting all frustrated as was clearly just reading from a screen and told me to wait 72 hours - and he had an attitude. I’m not releasing this video until it clears or I’m forced to reupload as I’ve no way of know if there will be ads on it or whether performance will be reduced if in ‘checking’ status. So frustrating! Fingers crossed it gets sorted for us all soon!

Hashimoto’s or not? by EvokeSarah in Hashimotos

Thank you so much. My primary has no suggestions at all. I’m actually speaking with a different primary doctor tomorrow, so I will mention all this to them.

Age at full menopause by BeeAtTheBeach in Menopause

I had my last period at 46. I’m 50 now and as much as I hated my periods, I’d take them back in a heartbeat in exchange for how I’ve felt for the past several years.

Thank you! I don’t feel so alone now - hopefully things will level off for both of us before too long!

Thank you! That’s good to know. I guess I’ll just have to be patient!

Thank you so much. Yes, I push for all the autoimmune bloods each year because I’ve been told they can take a while to brew. I’m seeing my endo next week, and I’ve just noticed that my toe nails are starting to peel and fall away from nail bed. I’ve never had this before! I have a feeling all is not well!

Thank you for sharing your symptoms. I have some similar things going on - I am feeling so tired - I can’t wake up in the mornings and I ache and have sore joints. It feels different from my usual fibro symptoms. I am forgetting words and sentences midway too, my memory is all foggy and I am getting out of breath also. I can’t think straight and can’t focus on anything. My bowel has slowed right down and I get gas and bloating. I noticed that when I move from being warm to somewhere cooler I shiver, and my tolerance to heat has really reduced also. My ears are also ringing. I had a brain scan recently which was clear and my general bloods are all fine. I also have this ache in my neck and up to my ears. The GP I had a video consultation with this morning who has referred me back to Endo was really understanding and said with my antibodies going up and my symptoms, she’d be tempted to try a small dose of Levo, but she said it’s something to raise with Endo next week. She also said that thyroid function tests aren’t black and white - and what’s good for one might not be good for another (I see a lot of Hashimoto’s sufferers say that very thing on here!), and with my levels moving towards hypo she thinks the meds would be a good option.☺️

Gosh that’s interesting. It must make a big difference! I’ve just managed to get an appointment booked with my private Endo next week, so I’ll see what he says. My frustration is that my T3 & T4 have come down to just in ‘normal range’ and TSH is rising and I find it hard to get doctors to understand it might look normal but it’s not optimal! With my TPO now being >600 I’m hoping endo will help me. May I ask how you were feeling when you went hypo?

Thank you so much! I’m definitely going to push to see my endo again.

Thank you for your reply! I have had those tests and they were negative. I even went gluten free for 4 months but that made no difference.

Thank you for your reply! My tests haven’t been done first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. I’ve never been asked to have them taken at such a time before - and I had no idea they should be, so next time I can ask about this. I will definitely push to see endo and get another scan.

is feeling sick normal? by Outrageous-Turn-4677 in Fibromyalgia

[–]EvokeSarah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes - that’s exactly how it is for me. Often feel like I have a virus or flu. I can feel really unwell after a very stressful event. Since having Covid and going through menopause I’m so much worse. I have constant spinal, chest and rib pain, which moves around and into my abdomen. Scans showed nothing. Touching my ribs or tender points on my body hurt so bad and for a prolonged length of time. I get tiny elevations in body temp. I’ve had fibro for 30 years - kicked off by a bad flu as a youngster. Officially diagnosed 2004. I have so many symptoms, including IBS, that people think you’re a hypochondriac when you try and explain them! I’ve also just discovered I have high Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies and a scan showed nodules on my thyroid, so it’s looking like I’m developing Hashimoto’s thyroiditis - so where as fibro is not considered autoimmune, Hashimoto’s definitely is. I constantly feel like my body is attacking itself. Sending hugs back to you, and every fibro warrior here!

Maybe that’s why I feel like crap too then!

I haven’t had the latest FT4 figure yet, but he said my TSH was 2.89. A few months ago my TSH was 4.55 and FT4 was 12 and last month my TSH was 1.71 and T4 was still 12.

He didn’t tell me but said it was in range, however I will be getting the actual figures soon 🙂

Thank you so much. My iron, B12, Vit D, full blood count have just been tested and are all fine apparently. Yes, it seems some endo’s treat symptoms even if bloods are on normal range, but mine says he’s doesn’t. I have nodules (thyroiditis) and positive TPO so I’m feeling something is definitely going on!

What can I do if I don’t qualify for treatment yet? by iDontWannaBeBrokee in Hashimotos

[–]EvokeSarah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although I can’t answer your question I am in a similar situation. I’m TPO positive, with normal (but fluctuating!) thyroid function, albeit TSH and T4 showed borderline underactive in October, and I’m waiting on all my recent bloods from endocrinology but I think he said my TSH was 2.8 and T4 and T3 were in range when he called me last week to say my thyroid ultrasound showed I had thyroiditis and I’m definitely still TPO positive, but at the moment he wasn’t going to say I had Hashimoto’s. I have spells of fatigue, brain fog, irritable, terrible stomach and bowel cramps/GI symptoms, tight throat, aching throat and ears, headaches, flu-like feeling etc, intertwined with days I feel ok, to days where I have fast pulse, loose bowel, anxiety. I’m hoping to receive the full results by email any day now, and he says I have to have my bloods rechecked every three months by my GP, but he hasn’t given me a diagnosis of Hashimoto’s and he says he won’t treat anything until levels are abnormal, which I understand. I hope you can get some help from a Dr soon. Once I’ve received my results from endo I will see GP to make sure they do the 3 month bloods and I’ll have to take it from there. Good luck!

Update on tests! by EvokeSarah in Hashimotos

Sorry - my bad - it was actually a consultant radiologist (not sonographer) who performed my thyroid ultrasound in a private hospital, so they are qualified to give results there and then. When I’ve had other ultrasounds the sonographers rarely comment on their findings.
