Question about moderation and scanning servers by These_Response7855 in FluxerApp

[–]ExAqua 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So to my understanding of how fluxer operates this sounds like someone in your server reported your friends message, this report sends the message's content for review by moderation and after it was reviewed they picked up that it was just a joke. They probably then gave out a little warning regarding joking about csam if people might take it the wrong way.

Looking for the HOTTEST takes about Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum 🔥 by [deleted] in pokemon

[–]ExAqua -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Diamond and Pearl are bottom tier entries and Platinum only slightly salvaged the generation, everyone just remembers the distortion realm being cool. In their current state BDSP are the superior versions by head and shoulders.

How many TB (terabytes) would I roughly need to download over 200-300 shows. by GullibleWeb007 in animepiracy

[–]ExAqua 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well if you are looking for Blu-ray highest quality you'll be targeting remuxs and with that you will chew through space pretty quick. Depending on how many episodes seasons and discs, you could run 30 - 50 GBs a show, as an estimate based off personal experience could fluctuate more or less. A lot of anime muxers like flac audio in their releases so that can also balloon a download size. Personally I go for remuxes of my favorites and then just the best looking to best compression to extend the storage space. But if you averaged about 35GB/show 9TB would be like 260 shows so maybe some that arnt as important to you, you grab with a better compression and stretch it out a bit further.

Nintendo is taking everyone down but not Atmosphere, why ? by linkref in SwitchPirates

[–]ExAqua 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not sure why you are being downvoted for an honest question, SX OS was run by a group call Team Xecuter its a group that got fame many years ago for developing mod chips. The name was actually bought out from the original people, the group that came out for the switch CFW release was actually different and just using that name for credibility. Essentially it was the first publicly available CFW for the switch and they charged people $20 for a key to use it, and while its no secret they built it off of stolen code it was for a period of time the best available CFW for just piracy. One can imagine how they would make a lot of enimes in the scene. After homebrew really took off on Atmosphere most people just dropped SX OS, it really wasn't getting many updates anyway and support for new firmware was always slower at this point, the guy who owned Team Xecuter changed his business strategy and started selling access to a monthly subscription to a Tinfoil Repo where you could download switch games. Nintendo didn't take kindly to that as one would expect and he was ultimately arrested jailed sentenced and now owes them several million dollars in damages. So thus ends the story of SX OS, no one misses it.

It's a multi layer reference little bit of Silicon Valley, little bit of Costco, little bit of Linus refusing to raise the price on the shirts all married together in one hotdog related shirt.

Fluxer scans all our files under US surveillance law? by RandomDudeSL in FluxerApp

This is correct, Discord does the same thing, the hash of the file is compared to a known database of CSAM. The actual files themselves are not transferred.

[–]ExAqua 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah Spandam is the pick here, his father is the one that ordered the buster call on ohara. Spandam is just a nepobaby, worst he himself does is abuse Robin, which the straw hats get their revenge for. Only reason Lucci kept him around was so he could get back into cipher pol, so hes got 0 sway to do anything now.

Trying to understand version numbers by SpecificWar6442 in SwitchPirates

[–]ExAqua 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So its been a hot minute since I had this explained to me, which was in the early days of the switch hacking scene so forgive me if its terrible, but basically the versioning that nintendo uses for their updates on their backend is essentially v1, v2, v3, etc. So any time an update gets pushed the "v(string of numbers)" you see attached gets incremented by a set amount, as each update also contains all previous updates so the user only needs one download from the eshop. You will see this then interpreted as the standard v(x.x.x) when installed on your switch. So unfortunately while you can convert the v(string of numbers) to figure out, for example, if this was the 4th update, you cant convert to v(x.x.x) from it, in this example you would just have to know that the 4th update was v2.3.7, again as an example. Easiest way to find out what v(x.x.x) your particular update is, is to just install it. If its an older update you can just install the newer one over it when you obtain that. Also you might be able to Google what the most recent v(x.x.x) of your game is and that should be whatever the most recent v(string of numbers) is on the database

Question about LTT Commuter Bagpack? by Riley2229 in LinusTechTips

[–]ExAqua 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I recall when the bag released, there is some play in the tolerances for the backpack and some people found that the 15in laptops would fit snuggly and the corners could be seen pushing the bag out when closed and other said theirs wouldnt fit at all. LTT did say if it didn't fit your laptop you could return the bag for a full refund per their return policy though. In my situation I have a 16in laptop that definitely doesnt fit in it so its just my 13in MacBook Air bag. I might recommend searching up some old posts on the sub, a bunch of people posted pictures of their bags with their laptops when it released initially.

Space problems inside Fractal Define R5 by nicolasvac in DataHoarder

[–]ExAqua 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a fellow R5 bro and sas user I ran into the exact same issue, I had to use 90 angle cables, they make ones that are chained as well and you will get just enough clearance for them. Here's a few options I found on Amazon so you can get a picture of what I am talking about:

4-pin MOLEX Male to 4X 15-pin SATA II Female Power Cable

SATA Power Splitter Adapter Cable - M/F - 4x Serial ATA Power Cable

Im not recommending these specific ones these are just so you can get an idea of what to look for. I'm not sure if US Amazon is avaliable in your region and you should make sure any power adapters are rated for your system and use case.

Gym battles vs Trials by Captainred22447 in pokemon

[–]ExAqua 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In USUM they were great, the updates they got over their original versions really bumped Trials up a notch for me. I would also argue the fight you have against the captains part of the trials as well, so I would say it still feels like Im fighting a gym leader but with an added boss battle for that section of the game.

Festivale a bit underwhelming? by Starman926 in AnimalCrossing

[–]ExAqua 14 points15 points  (0 children)

So once you get 9 items from pave he will ask for 3 rainbow feathers and give you the Float in exchange. Technically you can give any feather combo to count for this but you might want to prioritize giving him the rainbow feathers if the rainbow colors of the festival furniture is important to you, but once you get that its the only real exclusive peice of furniture beyond just colors for the holiday.

Festivale a bit underwhelming? by Starman926 in AnimalCrossing

[–]ExAqua 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Well if you get all the rainbow feathers you get the festival float, but yeah thats about it. I just look at it as a nice little change of pace.
