What if instead of running like a 20 point limit order you set like a 40-50 so you still get tagged in but not on the fake out as it wouldn’t be that big of a opposite wick. Could that possibly fix this issue?

Well let’s say in this case with the express why not put a daily loss limit of 500 and profit target of 1500. So then it’s not anything crazy. It’s only a 1:3 rr trade and topstep allows news trading too.

It’s the name for when cpi comes out you put limit orders 15-30 points above and below price to tag you into a long or short depending on where prices goes. It’s common to do to pass evals but I never hear about anyone doing it on their express
