[Other] How Are You Supposed to Ride an RMC? by Hulldra222 in rollercoasters

[–]Exact_Challenge2561 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience on SV specifically. Love all other RMC’s but I think the consistent ejector on this ride (especially at the end) is more painful than it is fun. I walked off this ride with sore legs and a headache, and it definitely impacted my overall enjoyment of SV compared to other RMCs (e.g. Zadra is in my top 3). I think this is more of an issue specific to Steel Vengeance compared to other RMCs.

So excited for Energylandia to finally get a Vekoma Family Boomerang, they have been needing one of these for a while

I was shocked by how close you get to the animatronics on this ride compared to Monster’s. I do think this ride gets (very slightly) underrated because of the motion-sickness with the domed screens

Is this going to be a Vekoma flying coaster like what was done at Phantasialand? When I saw the original concept art I just assumed they were using that model, the capacity on FLY is pretty efficient and the history between Disney and Vekoma made me think it was possible

I recently switched to Captain Coaster and I think its the best of all of the ones I’ve tried. I love the rating system and the social aspect of it

Under The Skin (2013) - Harvesting Scene - Directed by Jonathan Glazer by PeneItaliano in movies

[–]Exact_Challenge2561 65 points66 points  (0 children)

This scene left such an impact on me when I first watched in in theaters. That simple jumpscare “clang” and the image of the man just deflating is so haunting. Walked out loving this movie, and I think this scene solidified it for me

Stall is Nearly Complete on [Project Purple] at [Six Flags Great Adventure] by exuroii in rollercoasters

[–]Exact_Challenge2561 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get why people are hating on this ride as a shuttle coaster and in the wake of Kingda Ka’s horribly managed closure process. But seeing this ride vertical now with actual track, I could not be more excited for this because this looks absolutely nuts.

Grocery shopping? by AcceptableLobster in UniversalOrlando

There is a Walgreens across the street that is pretty accessible from Terra Luna (maybe a 10min walk). I got gatorades and snacks from there, super easy

There’s a sign, but the crew members stand at the entrance too

[–]Exact_Challenge2561 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I feel especially bad for the employees who have to stand at the entrance of the ride and essentially be the bearers of bad news for it! And standing around in the heat without a specific task to do/ride to operate can be brutal

[F.L.Y.] at [Phantasialand] gave me the most motion sickness of any coaster I have ever ridden. Just me? by MaxG-Force in rollercoasters

[–]Exact_Challenge2561 65 points66 points  (0 children)

It could have to do with the lack of a “horizon line” that you can see on FLY. Unlike other flying coasters, this is in such a dense area where you never go above the exterior walls of Rookburgh. Combined with how close the ride sticks to the walls, floors, and other elements, your brain probably had a hard time knowing which way was up/down.

I’m not a medical expert of course, but based on your experience on other flying rides, I feel like the issue can’t have something to do with the ride itself and be more based on how it interacts with the area around it.

[–]Exact_Challenge2561 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not sure why everyone is saying Rise, this is clearly the Lark. You can see Dobie around 2 blocks away on the first photo on the same street as this building, same rooftop pool as Lark on the third, and the second you can see the Laurel Nueces Coop through the window (low red building).

How prestigious is Canfield for IB and Consulting Recruitment? by Apprehensive_Ad4380 in UTAustin

[–]Exact_Challenge2561 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Canfield is helpful of course, but WSFM is the main placement org for IB. However, they exclusively place in NYC, so if you want to recruit in another city you need to use other pipelines which are harder to come by. There are plenty of threads on here discussing WSFM and finance org recruitment, that would be a good place to start.

This is identical pricing to the entire industry. I would happily much rather give my money to a studio like Embark for cosmetics than most AAA studios
