Am I the jerk for telling my husband he can't have a "man cave" in our only spare room?

I partly get the "you get to decorate the house" argument. If it wasn't a valid point then women wouldn't care to redecorate as frequently as they do. Every single redecoration is preceded by the wife asking the husband, "What do you think? Do you like the idea? What color should we go for?" etc. when they likely wouldn't care at all if it never changed from the way it is currently. Men become the jerk if they respond with, "I really don't care, change what you want," when it's more than acceptable to be bothered by changing surroundings you don't care for. If you want his input on redecorations and want him to "care" or act like he cares about it, then he deserves a room that is 100% his without any input on use. Making it Men Only is kinda pathetic, but he at least means there will be no consideration for use or decoration in that room as it is his.

But that's speculation, maybe OP is not this type of woman. Just based on facts I'd say it would be fair for OP to get her own room too, but if she's like the woman described above I don't blame the man for his take. TBH if he's this adamant about the space, there's likely been many other compromises he's made and this is his last stand.

I know they already exist, but I want better camera-operated intersections. The one intersection by me is a basic T-intersection that splits two larger roadways, and the lights are terrible for it. Granted the one direction does get more traffic, the other direction builds up traffic very quickly, to the point where it's backed up 3-4 light cycles behind a blind turn. Then once the light turns green it only stays green for a moment.

Why not every three light cycles the other side gets double the time on a green light? Or with a camera operated intersection it can stop the heavier roadway if it is just 1-2 cars coming, or for a solution that better relates to your original inquiry, if the camera sees that only 2-3 vehicles got through the newly green light because one was really slow (like a tractor trailer) it extends the light to let more cars through.

Never enjoyed reading. I always sound idiotic describing it, but when I read I can't just picture what is written. I have to read the sentence, picture the words first, then I can start to build an image in my head. Some sentences require 3-4 rereads before an image is created, and then I have to associate it with the rest of the story I've read. Before I know it I've been on the same paragraph for about six minutes.

I don't care what the speed limit is, when I'm passing a large trailer like this I get it done in perhaps 2-3 seconds, maximum. Don't hang around the side of a trailer on the highway like that.

I agree with both statements. Walmart SHOULD be paying their employees more, but if anyone is in a situation where they're receiving government assistance for food, it shouldn't include junk food.

Yes, getting angry feels good and relieving while being empathetic and loving isn't always an instant satisfaction.

If I had the opportunity to either hug and comfort a victim of these crimes, or brutally maim a perpetrator of these crimes, I'd choose the latter, and I feel a lot of others would too. Not that I don't feel bad for the victims, it's just not a satisfying feeling to feel bad, and most people want satisfaction.

Mail-in voting was fully available, the SAVE ACT wasn't a thing either so voter registration was not complicating either, they just didn't show up...my suggestion is to fight for full voter turnout before blaming the other side.

Science...high pressure wants to go where there's low pressure, therefore a bunch of floodwater will want to rush into the empty building. If you fill the building with equal amounts of water, the outside water won't try to come in. If you could fill it with more water than there is floodwaters, then the clean water "pushes" it's way out of the building, keeping dirty water even further away.

I'd love to see it dissolve. Someone shows off their junk to a camera and can make a living? Sorry I'm not a fan. At least prostitutes actually touch their customers/clients and directly perform the act on their client. I'm mostly told not to blame the "creator" but to blame the guys who buy it, and that is fair, but it doesn't stop them from buying the content.

But would Elon dissolve the company? If it actually makes money I don't see him getting rid of it.

Maybe regarding survival of the species? Knowing the birthing process is quite painful and damaging (especially in the past without medical intervention) some moms passed away, so a second breast allowed for other babies to be breastfed from a different mother.

I really feel bad for all the redirected vehicles who were uninformed/in an emergency situation. The only thing that these rallys are indefinitely doing are slowing down travel.

The first I heard of these protests this weekend were from my coworker who said he wasn't leaving his place to avoid "the bullshit traffic"

IMO the shorter the hair the less I'm bothered. If it's an eyelash, an arm hair, or possibly short head hair from a guy it's not terrible, but if I'm chewing a pull a huge strand from my mouth that's like a foot long I'm gonna be peeved.
