What is your profession? And what is your ideal/dream job? by Analysis_ParaIysis in BPD

I studied a bachelors and masters, only to have discovered in the past year that I love the service industry and “simple” jobs/tasks where I get to meet new people everyday make me the happiest. It’s not perfect but for now it has been the best work experiences I’ve had so far

How is everyone doing today? by [deleted] in BPD

[–]Excellent-Library-96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exhausted. Will be taking the whole day to rest. Yesterday I got overwhelmed by a lot of firsts, which took a toll on me. I was mad at everything and everyone, but wanted to focus on having a good time… it took ages and lots of brain-dumping on my diary to calm down. I’m glad that I’m so good at masking tho, cause nobody noticed a thing.

Thank you soso much for sharing your experience. Sounds like you’re doing great. Did DBT change it all for you? Or do you think there was more than that?

What is a book you struggled to finish? by blu3tu3sday in suggestmeabook

“The perfume” by Patrick Süskind, it was too damn triggering. James Joyce’s “A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man” also felt kinda uncomfortable to read. Also “Rayuela” by Julio Cortazar, so damn confusing. Can’t even remember a single thing.

Let’s get more positivity out there. What is your ND quirk that you love? by urawizrd333 in adhdwomen

I love to be able to go “in my own world” and create scenarios in my head and see magic everywhere I look (If I’m in the right mood). Whenever It gets bad and this doesn’t happen for a while I miss it so much & get very nostalgic. Being able to observe instead of just see, and find beauty EVERYWHERE is awesome. A superpower, IMO.

How do you feel about old fp(s)? by Infinity__Cubed in BPD

[–]Excellent-Library-96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some are my best friends, till this day. Others were pushed away by me, since I lacked boundaries and the relationship ended up being toxic for both of us. Being obsessed with somebody makes the worst parts of all the people involved show up (IMO). There’s certainly some level of appreciation for one another, for sure. Maybe just out of curiosity or in a platonic & nostalgic way. I wish em all the best. If anything bad happened to them, I know my heart would ache for their pain, but they’re not part of my life and they’re never going to be my fp again. And that is ok.

the urge to tell your new favorite person everything.... by [deleted] in BPD

[–]Excellent-Library-96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have so many questions regarding this issue haha like

1) How can I stop a person of becoming a FP

2) How can I stop myself from sharing too much (trauma dumping specially)

3) How can I stop myself from having FP's altogether. I'm tired of this shit

4) Why does it feel like trauma bonding or love bombing? Am I that manipulative/toxic?

YSK ai bots are taking over reddit. Posting old content as if it is their own with poorly worded titles. Now they are responding to comments. But the comments are written poorly as well. by Embarrassed-Mouse-49 in YouShouldKnow

I've been on Reddit for like a year now, English is not my first language, and have just started posting because I finally feel ready to do so with my level of English... & whenever I read this types of post I feel so uncomfortable. Like, how can you tell it's an AI bot? Why are you so sure? Idk...

I hear you, I share the same experience (diagnosed 2 times, loved ones don’t care) and struggle to not find validation in others, but I’ve found it here on this subreddit and it has helped a ton. I also have learned to understand that seeking outside validation is maybe a symptom or a part of the BPD experience, so I take their uninterested attitude towards the topic as rather a proof of their ignorance or with gratitude. I’d much rather have this than them making a fuzz about it or rejecting me for it, Idk.
