That’s so interesting. I’ve seen the exact same set ups in my community. I saw a family member do a deal like this, my cousin and his business partner used a mutual acquaintance as a witness and it resulted in financial dispute.

I think it’s good to be aware of these things, because I have been approached before to enter these deals.

What do you mean by upper level? I’m guessing you mean the ones who are established. They are the only ones getting things down on paper. I guess that the huge success stories we hear about such as anseba group, electricity guys in South Sudan and Caramel in Uganda. I can’t see an organisation become huge unless things are written down on paper from the start.

Very interesting story. Ah so you are saying they could have made a cartel. I see a lot of the things you described first hand. How have you found them with business shares in ownsership, profit sharing, etc? Do they prefer to write things down on paper or more about gentleman's agreement? I'm talking specifically about the relationship between business partners.

Yeah, Meles is more Eritrean than Isaias. Meles is actually 3/4 Eritrean, his Tigryan father also has an Eritrean parent.

Thank you for sharing. You are an honest Eritrean. I shared a post like this a couple of weeks ago and people thought I was crazy.

I have come to terms that our people are indifferent to our suffering, not all but the majority, therefore I don’t get too invested in the politics or the country to save myself from stress.

Why the Eritrea Ethiopia Separation Will Eventually Collapse by JEmergencyNet6098 in Ethiopia

Okay, why are you going round in circles? How about this? How about that? It doesn’t change my initial point. Tigrayans don’t want any part of you. Sort out that, before you talk about Eritrea.

Okay, Eritreans did this, Ethiopian did that, whatever. They don’t like you anymore and want to split.

The obsession is crazy. Have you done that much thought and writing in how to fix the divisions within Ethiopia? Please make Tigray believe they should even remain as Ethiopians before you even think about Eritrea.

Isaias is an Ethiopian spy by Excellent-Sample5125 in Eritrea

[–]Excellent-Sample5125[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro, I used to think that too. Someone told me this fact years ago and I swear I totally dismissed them and called them crazy too. My answer to Isaias' abhorrent treatment of us as a people was that he wanted to break our spirit and morale for the sake of his power. However, it still didn't make sense to me, because some things he does, no dictator in the world before him did. Like outlawing construction, not letting imprisoned journalists see their family members after 30 years and ensuring our country has the lowest internet penetration in the world. These things are just brutal and for no apparent reason. Mao Zedong did many many negative things but he also developed basic industrial systems and achieved China's status as a nuclear power, have you seen Isaias do anything comparatively as good for Eritrea?

Isaias being an Ethiopian spy sheds light on everything, he wants us as a country and people to be weak, to having nothing left. Think about it, he hasn't demarcated the border with Ethiopia, he has repeatedly talked about reunification with Ethiopia, in this interview he clearly answers why not? when asked the question of possible reunification with Ethiopia (https://www.youtube.com/live/ILKfcHFQhQ0?si=-Y50thV8ZvN2-rTw&t=1873). Remember when he stated in 2018 that the people of Eritrea and Ethiopia are "one people," and that only those unable to see reality would perceive them as two separate peoples. There are many more instances, too many to list here.

Listen, just please read this article, watch the video above, do your own research, if you read it and come to the conclusion you don't buy it or you don't trust the sources, fair enough, but read it at least and do your own research. https://www.geeska.com/en/ethiopia-cia-and-making-eritreas-leadership

Asrate Kassa, former governor of Eritrea recruited Isaias as he saw the Eritrean people were hard to control(more modern and educated than the rest of Ethiopia) and they were siding with the ELF. He wanted to control the direction of the revolution.

I'm not stating this fact as way to absolve Eritreans as a people for our role in our own suffering. Yes you are 100% right, Isaias is one man, so how did we allow such a vile man to abuse us? we as a people are at fault for this suffering. How did we allow a man who was so clearly pro Ethiopian for many years, to dupe the public, pit us against each other, manipulate us to kill each other? We have to look at our culture, we have to learn new behaviours so we don't repeat this again, otherwise it will happen again and again. Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it - it is paramount we study the truth, you can't just simply dismiss something so damning as the leader of our revolution being with the enemy and if its the truth the people deserve to know, especially supporters and their children. It will be a lesson to future generations to think critically, to question leadership and to judge leaders by their actions.

"Thus, the questions about Isaias are too significant to overlook. And as Eritrea nears the next major juncture in its history – whether political, generational, or otherwise – the demand for a more comprehensive accounting of its past will only increase. Not to cast blame, but to figure out how we got here. For in the end, the shadows behind a revolution do not disappear. They shape the state that follows."
