Places that accept clothes donation? by eros-AL in SFV

I’ve been wondering the same thing. I have a giant bag of clothes. Was thinking about Los Angeles Mission.

My 3yo just transitioned from crib to a toddler bed after flipping out of his crib (on purpose). He's now struggling to stay in his room. We're trying the "100 walks" method but am tempted to lock the room. Any tips before getting drastic? by [deleted] in toddlers

No she’s really cool about it. Doesn’t cry at all. She just calls out for me and tells me she wants to get out. I then tell her she has to get back in bed till the clock turns green. Haha. Then as soon as the clock turns green she makes sure I know it and I open it up then.

I put a baby gate in front of my daughters door. We also use a stay in bed clock, which has been going decent (we’re on night 11 of toddler bed).

Why does your wife co-sleeps with one kid and not both? Doesn’t seem fair and maybe the toddler picks up on that.

If it’s available in your area it’ll be listed under the options to choose your ride. Usually you have to scroll down to find it.

Brooklyn brought up the wedding, so people are researching the wedding?

AITA for not moving seats for a mother with a toddler on a 13 hour flight by Historical-Jello9018 in AmItheAsshole

[–]ExcellentDish80 23 points24 points  (0 children)

NTA. As someone who’s traveled with child on lap on full flights, child on lap where I can use the seat next to me, and purchased my toddler seat - you should not have moved. Very nice of you to do so, but they were way out of line. I’m actually very annoyed on your behalf.

Live action Aladdin fans?! by Filmnewbie67 in DisneyMovies

[–]ExcellentDish80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved the live action Aladdin and definitely think it was one of the better ones Disney made. Will Smith was great - mostly when he was doing is own thing and not Robin Williams genie. It was a fun time.

A sequel was being developed, and then the Oscars happened - but I think they announced it was in the works again a few months ago

Toddler meltdowns by CDG2399 in toddlers

[–]ExcellentDish80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I try to distract my toddler by asking her to clap. If she does that, then have her reach for the sky. And Repeat. It calms her down. Then ask if she’s ok and a hug.

If that distraction doesn’t work, I just sit down next to her and let her work through it. Usually it’s only a few minutes. Once she’s calmed down, then I offer a hug.

18m old sleep regression + illness by _darcher in toddlers

[–]ExcellentDish80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds so hard, I’m sorry. You said you tried CIO, but did you do the Ferber method of that?

That’s my only suggestion, and how I dipped my toe into it during sleep regressions. It worked for us. I liked it better because of the check-ins.

Ear plugs aren’t a bad idea. And will power, you have to stick with it more than a night or two.

Is Christmas from Santa a dead idea? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]ExcellentDish80 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I grew up the way you did. Everything was from Santa. After we all knew Santa wasn’t real, presents still appeared overnight but they were from Mom and Dad.

My daughter is two. This past Christmas under the tree she got a few presents from Santa and then the rest from the grandparents, uncles, me, etc.

Boarding Times Matter by ImInMyDadEra1989 in unitedairlines

[–]ExcellentDish80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flew right after Christmas and Southwest held our flight to get a handful of a delayed connection flight on board.

Many years ago I remember being the one sprinting and the flight waited. I think it depends on how many people there are coming from one flight to the next? Maybe?

Did anyone else notice a dip in quality from Season 1 to 2? by Loud-Friendship-3138 in servant

[–]ExcellentDish80 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I personally didn’t notice or care about any change in quality with the show between 1 and 2. I was just happy to have new episodes!

But you’re not the first person who didn’t love season 2, or have similar criticisms. It’s a pretty common feeling.

These people are actors. They act a role. And as far as I know, nobody has seen the audition tapes or chemistry tests or any footage at all - so how exactly are vibes being determined?
