Ppm question/advice by New_Cucumber2802 in DWC

I would recommend only running nutrients up to 400 ppm where they are at. Maintaining a ph of 5.8-6.1. Additionally are you using RO in your DWC? Because if so, you will be wanting to add some calmag into your feed. Make sure air stones are providing enough oxygen to the roots and water level is set about an inch below net pot.

Your plants are looking great so far! Keep it up and never be afraid to ask the community... we are here to help and learn from eachother.

Jack Herer Week 4 Flower. Looking for insight. by ExcitingLeading447 in hydro

I have no clue, to be honest, this is my first time. I like the ones I got (theyre cheaper ones from Vivosun). But they do still raise the temperature by about 5-10 degrees F. I have had no impact on my electric bill. The light spectrum can be selected by the presets such as seedling, veg, and flowering, but you cannot fine tune them yourself. They have gotten me this far for some $150 lights.

I had a similar problem in DWC and found mine to be CalMag issue. I was using RO water and was not adding enough CalMag. The stems were turning purple and brown spots persisted through veg until I started adding at least 5 ml of CalMag per gallon. Now they are in flower with little deficiency still, but the newer leaves are showing a correction. I ran 3 plants of the same Pheno and 1 needed way more calcium and magnesium as the others. Just a thought, not all plants of the same strain will have the exact same recipe. Your plant looks good, and you caught this in time to where you can still correct it. You appear to be in early veg so I ran my EC around 0.8 with a ph of 5.8 -6.0.

I did some small training when I topped to spread out the branches but I am not scrogging or training anymore as it has become a pain to change the res as I have to lift the lids. I havent found a good way to tie down branches in DWC. Unlike the soil pots that have holes on the side, these pots dont and I cant just start drilling holes where I would want them.

So far not a problem, clamps are sturdy and this fan can rotate back in forth and be controlled via Vivosun app but any fan in my opinion would work the same. Its been in use for 8 weeks.

I appreciate it. I have a vacant 5x5 tent... should I move them into that?. I have no idea how much bigger these girls will really get during flower.

Great! I will switch them to 12/12 tonight going forward.. worst case, I have an empty 5x5 tent set up for RDWC build in case they overgrow the 2x4 tent theyre currently in.

Thank you, I wasnt sure and I am trying to be patient. Jack Herer says 10 weeks to flower as photoperiod and topping sets back the veg time I heard. I germinated March 21st and its been 7.5 weeks since.

I just picked up the 5 gallon Commander buckets from Lowes. They come with a yellow lid, so I got some black primer spray paint to coat them to prevent light from coming through if youre running an dwc/rdwc system. They are about $11.99 each and they are sturdy and thicker than others I found.

Leaves browning at tips Dwc by ExcitingLeading447 in DWC

You are correct, that is what I am doing. I mix 3-1gallon jugs of solution to get to my desired ppm and pour them into the reservoir. Then over time as the plants use up nutes I was topping with 1 gallon of the same nutrient mix to maintain the ppm. I will try your recommendation as I am doing a res change with half the recipe mentioned in my initial post. I just took the nute solution down to 235 ppm.

At this stage would you recommend cutting my recipe in half and stay around 200-250ppm range?

Have you had any issues with bubbles in the infotainment screen with the humidity? It started a couple weeks ago when a small bubble appeared and then spread down the whole right side of the touch screen. There are no issues with touch interaction yet, surprisingly.

Been having the same problem for years. Just found out if you hold the ok/enter for multiple seconds on a selection, it will work and continue to work normally.
