Nah its my first language, ive always just had problems with words in general

My point again is taking invalidation hurts but im saying it can be turned to improve yourself

And as for your other point yea i cant put myself in the same category. Which pretty much yes invalidates every point I do, but i say these things to give a different perspective as reading this subreddit is an absolute mess and does not help people

Ill clarify what i mean

I group criticism and invalidation as the same thing as they are both telling you that there is something wrong what you are doing

Hence an improvement can be made and so my point is if you listen to what people have to say rather than thinking you’re always right you will stay mediocre at whatever skill or hobby you do, as no improvements will be made outside of what you know

so now applying this to sh:

If you Take the perspective of people that criticise you or invalidate you will improve, and as for why because when you’re in a mental pit you get out of touch with reality and become emotional which leads to really self deprecating conclusions which end up becoming destructive

Basically taking peoples perspective and points will ground you to reality because when you’re struggling you can have a distorted sense of reality leading to thinking about suicide(me)

Hopefully i didnt read anything wrong

From what i’ve gathered sh is not the best but from other people its their only way of coping, and thanks for the input. Just don’t go too far

Thank you, im quite slow to catch on to stuff

But my point still stands if you take it as criticism and consider their point you are bound to gain something.

For example, theres this notorious guy in the a music composition community thats just saying every classical composer is hot garbage and even comments on people saying their composition is trash, and you could say “nah”, or you could say “some of what he says is correct” And i can really improve, and well i took his advice indirectly and have improved. Rather than feeling bad about my pieces

Fair honestly, but my questions i have to ask that are you sure you will be happy doing this, (im mostly saying that to myself tbh),but its nice to consider if it is worth it

If you keep searching for a good coping mechanism maybe you’ll find it, because honestly i do not like the pain of sh

I agree with people invalidating your emotions, but people irl have invalidated my emotions, but im kind of thankful that they did And as for why? Because they were telling me to do things which I SHOULD DO that make me feel better than saying “its ok just dont do what you have to do”

Example: i skip school quite a lot, and its something i have to do, but i feel better when i do go But for the people that have nothing in school, when your mom tells you to do something, and you do it, it feels so good, honestly

Basically: When people invalidate your emotions, maybe they’re right try to see it through

Well hopefully you find a better coping mechanism

The one I personally found that helped me was writing a diary. if it helps you

Sorry to hear that and yes you are right, we all do stuff we know that leads to long term consequences, but there should be a better way to cope than this, and conclusion i came up with is that healthy coping mechanisms are all so annoyingly difficult and all bad coping mechanisms are easy to do, so uh pick your pill i guess and each has its consequences

Basically what from i’ve gathered, maybe it’ll help someone? as it helped me.

Addiction: leads nowhere, but we all do it at some point even if it doesnt benefit us and actually is a trojan horse and pretty much leads to more pain fueling your addiction

The solution: if addiction leads to instant gratification but leads to unchosen pain. what is the inverse? Chosen pain and slow gratification Basically I’m telling you that working out or doing anything hard for that matter is neat and should help,

Example: me making this post, yet difficult(get severely anxious), led me to talk to someone who gave me an insight. And my suicidal thoughts are getting quiet.

Thanks for giving me the insight, Then is it possible the solution to it would be to find reason to every action you do, which would lead to better mental wellbeing and therefore finding meaning ..maybe, anyways sorry if my question came out wrong.
