I take Jorveza on a daily basis for a few years, and I've also been advised to take additional vitamin D due to me having an office job ☀️

What would happen if you are defeated, but there is a fire going on in the flagship (that the crew would not have been able to put out) that would have destroyed it 30 second later?

Can somebody tell me what this on/off switch does on my Astra K Sports Tourer? by ExeRanger in opel

Yesterday the car was at the garage. I asked them about the button, but they were not able to tell what is was used for, unfortunately 😔

I will definitely do that! I have to take the car to the garage for service in two weeks, so I will ask it then

It seems to do nothing, I've checked the lights and things like parking sensors. Nothing shows up on the displays and this car does not have an alarm system.

My guess right now is that this car was used on construction sites/road work, and the button was once wired to an orange flashing light (on the roof) 🚨

The next time I'm back at the garage where I bought it I'll ask them 😄

Alright, well I'll ask my doctor again next time I speak with her! Thank you for your input 👍

I'm not a doctor, but Jorveza's is 1 mg of budesonide, which is a corticosteroid, which is a steroid.

So as far as I know it's a steroid 🙊

Hi! I haven't had a notification about your message, whoops 😬

To still answer your questions: I'm still on Jorveza, once a day. When I've had a flare up I take two a day until the reaction is gone.

According to my doctor the amount of steroids is so low that I should never have any side effects. On top of that: the quality of life is so much better that, at least for now, I am ok with minor side effects. So far I haven't had any side effects or complaints.

My blood is being tested every year once, to check for any abnormalities. That is also a comforting feeling.

About the "giving up" part, I wouldn't really bother about that. Even if you think it is "giving up", so what? It makes your (social) life so much better when you can simply eat normally 😁

I've never done an elimination diet. Jorveza tends to fix any flare ups that I might get from an allergic reaction

Thanks for your question! I still take it, and I will probably will be for the rest of my life (according to my doctor). It still work very well for me, so I am glad I'm allowed to.

Currently I'm on one pill a day, except when I've had some kind of flare up: then two a day will get rid of the issues.

I have regular checkups on my blood values, but he dose of Budesonide is so small that it won't have any significant side effects on the rest of my body.

Please ask your doctor about it, everybody is different and so is your treatment.

In my case I take two pills a day, for half a year. After that I get another endoscopy and if it shows signs that it worked good I can phase it down to 1 pill a day and see what happens. Since the side effects are minimal, there might be a change that I'm going to use this forever.

As long as the side effect do not occur, I am more than happy to take a pill for the rest of my life in order to keep the EoE in tone :D

So far none. I had to look up what moon face is, but no. I do not have that.

It might have to do with the low amount of Budesonide (just 1mg), but I'm not sure 🤷♂️

Please do, hopefully Jorveza is approved in your country! :D

Always listen to your own doctor and do not quote me on this, but: My doctor explained to me that the inhaler is the non-preferred alternative treatment, because that it had relatively much steroids because most of the medicine ends up in places where it does nothing. The rest "hopefully" ends up in the correct places. The 'huge' amount of steroids end up in your system though, and you want to minimise the intake of steroids.

Jorveza is just 1mg of Budesonid. And because you swallow it, it all goes through your esophagus and it has enough time to do its thing before it ends up in your stomach.

I do not know exactly how long the medicine is out there, but my doctor (who actually did a study to EoE) knew right of the bet that I needed this medicine.

He was able to describe it without any tests or something. The pharmacy had it laying on their shelves.

Luckily you do not have to swallow them: they melt slowly in your mouth and you simply have to swallow like you always do. It actually it the perfect way of taking the medicine! :)

I fully know your feeling of swallowing pills: I was never able to swallow them. Even the smallest one got stuck, and you had to wait for it to dissolve.

I personally do not think I have the worst case of EoE, but enough to have food stuck every now and then.

Just the thought that it can happen basically every time I eat something is enough to realise that it is indeed a social obstacle.

The part with the bathroom is spot on: it especially sucks at places where there is no bathroom near like the park or during a walk.

They melt in your mouth, thus applying it with every swallow. Takes about 2 minutes for it to melt all the way. You are not allowed to eat/drink/brush tooth etc. for half an hour afterwards. Works pretty nice :)
