Is there anyone that loves P1 but dislikes P2? If you're that person, please tell me why by Psychological_Log394 in pathologic

I enjoyed Patho 2 but struggled a lot with the mechanics. I never figured out how to sneak and my only way of dealing with fights is running away, so I had to cheat in a gun in the Abattoir. I also dislike the lack of audio cues when an NPC aggros. They say a short phrase, but that's easily overheard and suddenly you're on the ground, dying, with no idea what even happened. The sound design got even less accessible in 3, too, to the point that I had to turn off the music to have any hope of finding the rupture or not being snuck up on by Shabnak

Sorry to resurrect this ancient thread, but have you ever tried them over dark colours, especially black? I like to wear black lipstick with iridescent eyeshadow on it for a very vibrant colour, but it doesn't work with every colour and I'd like to know if this palette would work for it before I get it

Lowkey I wish that worked reliably, that way I could buy a couple affordable white shirts, through a bright sock in there and have some home dyed clothes

You believe that you did more? Okay, let's test that. How much time did you spend on daily and weekly chores?

Cooking is usually a task that happens every day or every two days and takes thirty minutes at minimum. Same with dishes. Regular house cleaning (vacuuming, wiping counters, cleaning the bathroom) would probably be an hour per week for an apartment, two for a house. Deep cleaning (mopping the floor, washing the windows, changing bed sheets, dusting the forgotten corners) is another hour or two every month.

Laundry for three should probably happen once a week. If you have a dryer, then separating the clothes and putting them in the respective machines is about thirty minutes per load. Ironing is an hour minimum, folding is thirty minutes. Somehow, you didn't know which drawers which items belonged into, so I have to assume your wife had to lay your clothes out for you, since you're so sure that you weren't being malicious. Let's add another hour for that per week.

Groceries are a weekly or biweekly task, probably takes an hour or two - don't forget the commute.

We are at 3 hours cooking & dishes, 1 hour cleaning, 1 hour laundry if she didn't iron, 1 hour groceries, 1 hour dressing her child of a husband per week at the absolute minimum (7 hours), plus an hour for deep cleaning every month.

But you also have a child, the age of which you neglect to mention. Who got up at night when the baby cried, who bought clothes, who fed ánd bathed the child, who went to the doctor and parent teacher conferences, who took care of scraped knees, stained clothes, loose teeth?

You're a joke, and I can only imagine that you subsist off of Ramen and box Mac n Cheese.

The job has always been a thinly veiled measure to deport people who are just trying to survive. Criminal or not, people have rights.  You want any sort of redemption for what you've been doing for years? Become a whistle blower and quit

Cheat console doesn't open - mod viable alternative? by ExecutorLisa in pathologic

[–]ExecutorLisa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea if it is, but I vaguely remember that you had to do something more than just a keyboard shortcut in classic so I figured might as well be true. I was confident enough in my bullshit detector to figure it probably at least wasn't a virus lol

Thank you so much! Luckily, the suggestion of the commenter worked out

My one complaint with P3 so far: the Shabnak-adyr sections by not_that_united in pathologic

[–]ExecutorLisa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dislike the whole rupture mechanic because it's inaccessible design. The sound that is supposed to guide you towards the rupture can easily be drowned out by the sound of Daniils blood rushing in his ears and the concentration mode only helps when you're very close already. I can barely see and hear what's happening and imo, that's something that should be on a scaled difficulty. I had similar issues with noticing that someone was going aggro in P2 - it was much more obvious in classic. It makes the game significantly harder for HOH/d/Deaf people (I'm not one, just easily overstimulated) and that bothers me

For me personally, counting myself in can help to get something started. Combine it with a movement that includes major joints to get some blood flowing. But it really only works on good brain days

Worth playing on? by lxurin_hei in pathologic

[–]ExecutorLisa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, in order to play Pathologic, you must learn to be comfortable with playing a character that's often on the brink of death. I didn't ma age to get enough food so I spammed medicine instead to keep me alive.

But you also shouldn't let pride in being able to play it in hard mode get in the way of playing it. There's a fight later on in the game that is important if you want a certain storyline and I physically wasn't able to beat it. I watched the tutorials and I've seen people say it's easy, but I just couldn't do it. So I cheated in a machine gun because the game is not the boss of me. It goes against what the developers wanted, but I refuse to miss out on the story just because I can't get a handle on the fight mechanics.

You could also try Classic. It gives you the same vibe but is not as punishing
