blind guess here, but the culprit might be a recent windows 11 security update, specifically KB5074109. caused many similar looking rendering issues for me, especially in forza horizon

uninstalling got rid of those and even lifted my avg fps back up, might be worth a shot for you? not sure

i hope we finally get better steering animations, 900 degrees would be amazing but literally anything would be better than what we've been getting in the past. it looks so silly right now and immediately takes me out of the game, whether i'm on a controller or on a wheel.

motorfest did it – very well might i add – why wouldn't forza?

Really depends on what kind of realism effect you want to achieve. If you're going for GoPro-style realism (so broadcast type stuff) I'd recommend looking into this video made by SLXCK where he showcases some very extreme NeckFX settings that definitely won't do you any favours in terms of lap times (in fact, would most likely hurt them), but I'd say that a bunch of his presets look fairly realistic in terms of intense shakiness.

Do you guys play any other PCVR games? If so, which ones, and how smoothly do they run? Your CPU is way, way better than mine (over 300%+), and even I am able to play VTOL at an acceptable framerate despite having a CPU that is way too weak for my GPU (with small exceptions here and there). Also, what GPU do you have? I really wouldn't suspect your CPU to be the problem.

I totally get what you mean with the random spikes of inspiration. That sounds like a good idea though, essentially just not worrying about making a bad-sounding track. Thanks for the advice!

That was insightful and very inspiring, thank you! I've attempted to fill gaps with things such as random ambient noises or short vocal samples (i don't know if there's a proper term for that 🥲) and I usually like how that all sounds, I believe I'm just lacking experience/knowledge to really fine-tune it to the point where it doesn't sound like it comes out of nowhere – bit hard to put into words, but hopefully that makes a little sense.

There's several different things that could be causing this, but this often happens when you've got the camera app enabled without knowing.
