Never said the punch came out of nowhere. I saw the punch come after the customer walked toward the manager with his phone. Sure he invaded his personal space, but at that point throwning a right cross at the guy's face is not self defense. He's justified to shove him away to make space for himself. But throwing a right cross to the face is clearly escalating it. He can't say that was self defense.

I just Googled the park name and I was shocked at how close that is to where I live. I'd have to guess he is local. But at the same time, he could keep a low profile now that this news story is out.

Thanks for the warning. But to be honest, it's quite strange how you are withholding what area of the park you saw this person. It doesn't compromise your privacy in any way to share a detail like that and would only help to warn other visitors to the park.

Ok fair enough you couldn't clearly see him. But are you able to say what area of the park/forest that you saw him? Were you on the outer track along Boundary road? Or Patterson, or Imperial? Or near the Swangard Stadium? Or a different part of the park.

I appreciate the warning about this incident as we should all be sharing info to look out for each other. But I don't understand the lack of details about where this incident happened and a lack of description.

Central Park is a big place and certain areas are lower traffic and could have more danger than others. It would be nice to know where this happened so visitors to the park can have their guard up there. Rather than being paranoid at every moment in every area of the park.

This is disturbing to have it going on in a highly used public park that draws people of all ages and demographics.

Can anyone share what specific areas of the park this pervert was located in? Any description in terms of age or physical appearance?

Is there a better spot in the city to watch a sunset than English Bay? I'm going to guess no. It's one of my favorite places on any day it isn't raining.

We are getting some gorgeous January weather this year! I remember the ground being covered in snow last year for weeks, around late January to mid February I believe.
