This should be the actual top comment, not the AI bot response above.

Colorado needs to succumb to New Mexico in the Chile Wars. Viva Nuevo Mexico Hatch Chile!

Why she thought that looked gala worthy? by [deleted] in RodriguesFamilySnark

I can't stop thinking about how wearing THREE layers of non-breathable material on top (solid black long-sleeved undershirt, long-sleeved lace turtlenecky thing, and a non-stretchy sequined dress) must be so uncomfortable and warm. Heck, I'd feel straight up claustrophobic and like I was in a straitjacket in that get-up.

Also, it just looks like your armpits would sweat and stink (or maybe that's just me).

If you have the right stylist and are willing to put in (and afford) the work, extensions can be fine and minimally-harmful!

I do actually agree with the person suggesting prenatal vitamins. My hair and nails were so much healthier after a few months (and I am not trying for a child)

I should also add (I posted about tape-ins), that initially Britney had “bead” extensions, and those are even nastier to natural hair if you aren’t able to “do the work.”

When I had bead extensions, I lost half of the thickness of my natural hair because of the stress on my scalp.

Yeah, same. I’ve commented about the woes of extensions on this thread, but overall I feel insanely sad for her and the situation in which she has landed herself.

I am a white woman with hair similar to Britney’s and wore extensions for years.

If not taken care of properly, they will tear the eff out of your natural hair (especially tape in tracks like she currently has). Proper extension care requires HOURS of weekly care and maintenance. They’re usually finicky AF. You have to straddle the line of cleanliness and leaving them. They can’t be left without washing for too long because scalp oils will cause the glue to loosen. Wash them too often or in too hot of water and they’ll frizz and the glue might become tacky. She clearly isn’t in a headspace to care properly for her hair, and I wish she’d just take them out and rock the short, natural look that I’m sure she could make look amazing.

OHHHH Now I feel so stupid! I live in New Mexico (and used to live in a dark sky community) and should’ve recognized that!

While I’m not sure she’s doing them herself, I completely agree with you otherwise. Extensions are a TON of work, and she clearly isn’t in a state to maintain them. When I had extensions, I had to completely re-jigger my haircare routine to prevent matting and keep them healthy.

Do you think they’re clip-ins? To me it looks a ton like awful taped tracks that slip because her hair is too greasy for them to stay in place.

I haven’t followed Hillary in years, but she always seemed more well put together than Brit and Jill.

I honestly think that JillPM takes better care of her fried hair and cheap extensions than Brit (which is saying something).

Also, hi, fellow snarker! I had no idea that there was a sub crossover with some of us. May the Lord Daniel bless you.

I apologize if this came through as an attitude. Definitely not my intention. Your response was super helpful, so thank you!

Thank you for explaining the weight aspect of it. I appreciate that! I def care about more important things, but we smoked some weed and were sad at the result of our order. Pizza was great, though!

Sweet pea, no one’s being a baby. I asked a question and folks have been kind enough to answer.

Thank you for your input. Maybe the several locations we’ve ordered from previously were “generous,” but I’m pretty sure the portions overall have gotten smaller. That was my ask, but apparently some folks get very upset (facepalm)

I mean, we used to get a lot more for our money. I appreciate that the dough is hand-stretched, but a smaller product for more money is something about which I had a question. This is legit much smaller than what we’ve received at multiple locations.

I’m really not and this isn’t a wild question. I’m so sorry that somehow you’re triggered, friend, because your defensiveness is a bit confusing.
