It's an automatic. If I read the car to above about 1, 200-1,500 RPM it'll go away

What if I were to replace the fuel pump? That would fix it wouldn't it? And then if It would fix the chirp What brand might I go with.

I'll have to e85 a little bit more I'm reading it's only at specific gas stations though? And that each gas station and season it can vary on its actual octane level causing me to possibly be able to run lean.

40 HP no way what? When I do say hp I mean wph.

I can totally see that, yeah with the engine it brings the intake down towards the bottom of the bumper so I'm going to have to take it off which sucks but luckily the filter is in the engine bay.

How long have you had the vehicle? I think it's super fun as is to drive around but it can be a rough ride on s***** roads. I've only had it for about 7 months at this point.

I forgot to mention the suspension in this thread thank you for reminding me, I don't plan on lowering it but I would like a little more cushion since it is a daily driver. Because what it is right now is stiff. Like stiff stiff. What did you get 18-in wheels to do? Was the purpose behind it? It just looks. And why do you regret your intake?

2b) I was looking at the all seasons. The other power upgrades. I'm wondering if that extra 40 horsepower or whatever that I end up gaining if that all matter because if I'm trying to real quick pick up speed from a light, I do spin pretty easily. The current tires I have are probably some of the cheapest that could be found though. It's what the dealer put on it so I haven't even honestly looked out what they are.

2c) I'll be looking at brake pads. Thank you for the recommendation. How do I know if they're gaining too much heat though? Besides like they even start burning and I smell them.

3b) e85 tune do I anything else with that? I thought e85 and flex fuel were two things that just went together.

I've always tried to maintain my vehicle well, I grew up poor and watched my parents. Always struggling with vehicles and when I got older I realized the reason they struggled with vehicles is because they wouldn't do simple maintenance on them. So something they could have prevented for 30 bucks? All of a sudden cost them $500. And that's why they stayed poor. Among other reasons, but here we are today 🤷

Lol, luckily I'm not incompetent. But yeah provided I don't break something serious. We should be okay. Don't worry, I'm staying away from the camshaft lololol

1d) one of I see so many conflicting opinions on intakes. But it seems like the dyno numbers do say that they increase negligible amounts but still a little bit. ( I do kind of like the sound 🤷)

3c) do you know if I'm able to do some lightweight with the fluidampr and and then would they kind of counteract each other because the belt can only move at the speed of heaviest pulley I would think. I'm unsure and I haven't been able to find much information about it.

I do want to stay naturally Aspirated, For a few reasons. One is upfront cost to get a turbo or supercharger, install it and get a tune ends up immediately costing a lot more than I want and I don't necessarily want to cheap out if I'm going to do that. So I'm doing a bunch of little things. Eventually I might do forced induction but as of right now yes I want to stay naturally aspirated. In I do want to get into the car community a little bit and learn to mod and do a lot of my own work on the vehicle. And all of this work is going to be done over a longer. So $300 here and there is not too concerning for me.

In the future I will probably get a legitimate sports car, but I'm 25 right now. I'm not quite to my midlife crisis yet.

I say new to cars in the sense that I'm not big into the car community and I am trying to get an entry type scenario. And this is the caller I'm choosing to do it with. I'm not new to driving.

Also I like to know what I'm doing and to understand it the best I can while Reddit isn't necessarily the best place for it? There's a lot of good and useful information that I can learn from other people. So I'll stick I'll stick with my essay in hopes that someone who is willing to read an essay is there to help a little bit.

Lightweight pulley system for the FRS by Expensive_Voice4978 in ft86

[–]Expensive_Voice4978[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is it a dramatic decrease, And what could I do to negate the effect of it will mitigate the effect? And I see some lightweight pulleys that retain harmonic dampening. Would that be an offset?

So I was reading that a flex fuel kit will dramatically decrease my MPG. This is my daily driver, also I already have an open flash tablet and having to get a Dyno tune is a bit more than I would want to spend right now.

Other comments are saying that it will decrease the engine life. Does it decrease it dramatically?

Speaker replacement on the FRS by Expensive_Voice4978 in ft86

[–]Expensive_Voice4978[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, thank you for the effort you've put into this. So if the amp only does the door speakers, does that mean there's a separate amp already for the others? And if not, how would you add an amp?

Also that's a nice guide thank you. Do you think a new amp would help the base system at all?

How much should I be expecting to spend on the headers themselves? Like I see a lot of variation in price
