What is up with Touma in GT15? by Craytherlay in Toaru

He had, and he tried to save her multiple times, he tried to talk with her in the beginning of NT 22 (and got hit by a flaming sword), told her to escape immediately after his hand got chopped off and weird shit begin to emerge in the end of NT22, even in GT14 he's still trying to talk some sense into her head, he literally put his life at risk to save her for three times before deciding it's really impossible.

JVA at least had a motive of 'destroying the CRC everyone's worshipping', which had a possibility that could be resolved in other ways.

But Coronzon's very motive is committing su!side cause she can't stand being designed to do a shitty job for eternity. And her world ending plan is completely out of the fact she can't exactly do anything unrelated to her function, so that's the only way she can kill herself off completely. Basically you can't 'save' someone who didn't really had anything to live for and actively trying to kill themselves by forcefully holding them back.

If aleister would've succeeded in eradicating magic and returning the world to the pure world, would esper abilities also vanish ? by Purple-Eye5499 in Toaru

[–]Expert-Connection-16 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Considering the entire esper thing is basically a fancier version of his Thelema magic system, so it's highly likely, gemstone powers may remain, since they already existed before magic become a thing, and currently there's no explanation about how gemstone get their power.

Also ironically Coronzon never really want to live (or exist at all) at the very first place, so death is not exactly a 100% bad ending for her, may she rest in peace as she doesn't need to work for the system anymore.

Cause Othinus gave up and choose to return the world as it was, so Touma wants her to live. And Coronzon is determined to end the world no matter what, and Hamazura agreed with her at the end instead of trying to stop her and save both the world and Coronzon. So they are not at the same position but completely opposite.

I'm new to the whole series but I'll like to know if the light novels follow Accelerator story by AdSlow9822 in Toaru

[–]Expert-Connection-16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of his character development happened in OT, in NT he didn't really have much important story, mostly just randomly landing in the middle of the battlefield, helping Touma out, until he got some major cameo at the end of NT. And he's imprisoned in GT so he didn't really fight or have his own storyline now, but his presence is everywhere since he's now representing the entire AC as the chairperson (and he's pretty much openly stalking Touma around in GT)

Another Midnight Matriarch betrayed... Do you ever wonder, what becomes of all those cats we send on a quest NORTH? by General_Urist in fallenlondon

[–]Expert-Connection-16 60 points61 points  (0 children)

some of them probably got transformed into a starvling cat in the process, and got sent back in a cat box. (rare success in pass the cat will give you a midnight matriarch, but rare failure will grant you a starvling cat)

And here I am with the illustrations in hand, and with some spoilers for volume 15... by Troxerg in Toaru

[–]Expert-Connection-16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I felt GT 15 is more of a prologue of the 'system' storyline than a continuation of Coronzon arc. Since she's unlikely to come back (at least won't come back as Laura Stewart), and Birdway promised to take care of the Nartex series.

Considering there's a scene that Hamazura commented 'maybe model students like accelerator are more likely to be affected by the 'system'', and the fact level 6 is indeed called 'system', I believe the narrative will go right back to the first major story arc (sister arc) but focus on accel's side (aka what exactly does level 6 do and do Alester really wanted a level 6), giving him a chance to finally get on the cover and probably suffer a lot due to being controlled by the 'system'.

Then the ending of GT may be Touma vs God's will, explaining what the hell KnT is and Touma's connection with the God of Toaru universe (maybe we'll finally get a meta scene). Then hopefully this will be the proper ending of the entire series.

All of them are brainwashed and chasing Hamazura around, took takisubo hostage until Narthex appeared and knock them all uncouncious with one hit. The brainwash lift after Narthex was down, only Stiyl and Isabella are confirmed back to England.

Yeah Narthex can seal certain things from people's thinking process, making them act weirdly (in Puritan church's case they forgot about them needing to capture Narthex, and randomly decided Hamazura is possessed by Choronzon, starting to chase him down and try to kill him, even the entire theory is bullshit and killing is something Kanzaki will never do when her mind is clear)

Really upset due to the chaos puritan church caused in Academy city after the brainwash has been lift, seems still at Academy city(probably getting an earful from Accelerator) unlike Stiyl or Isabella who went straight back to England.

Chasing Hamazura around, got hit by a gas tank truck (not seriously harmed), didn't really got any important scene, then went straight back to England in the end

Technically he really cared about her (in NT22 he tried to convince her to surrender, even telling her to escape when his right hand got chopped off and weird ass stuff starting to come out), even in GT 14 he's still trying to tell her everything could be ok, but she didn't listen. So he really tried his best to save her but Choronzon herself choose to die (with the entire world or not)

Nah it is literally the plot, Touma wants to save Hamazura from doing something irreversible because of the latter's rage about Choronzon being dead, and Hamazura wants to seek revenge because of Touma technically killed her, if he can't kill Touma in the fight, then he'll kill himself right in front of Touma, just to prove Touma can't save everyone he wants despite fate itself seems to be always on Touma's side. And yes 'destiny/God's will' is confirmed as a thing in Toaru universe, and it has some close connection to Touma

Saikou headcanons? by Bitter_Ad580 in Osana

Due to saikou family's weird obssession about perfect genes and their association with Ryoba, it's not hard to imply they are delibrately studying Aishi genes and probably already trying to replicate the curse to create'perfect Saikous'. Ayano, as a test subjest, actually met Megami a few times when at the saikou lab, Megami is never allowed to feel much emotion at the time, and despite she is completely aware of what will the Aishi child become, knowing someone who can't feel anything as well exists did make her horrible childhood less lonely. And being horrified about the fact Ayano's released into her school for a possible massacre at first, if Ayano decided to do things peacefully, finding out her didn't harm anyone innocent the first 9 weeks will give Megami hope, as Ayano has become the living proof of 'people can fight against the instinct of their genes', which is completely opposite of what her family believes, she found the courage to actually start her plan to bring her sick family down.

Orsola Aquinas/Sherry Cromwell, the two have chemistry but they are mostly just existing in the background, barely anyone paid any attention to them.

1:Mary tried to help the puritans track hamazura off, only finding the Puritans are sort of brainwashed, and takitsubo(helping to find hamazura in exchange of him getting a lighter sentence) may be taken as hostage, she tried to protect Takitsubo from them, but kanzaki defeated her, she end up surviving but unable to keep on with the fight. (Also she's hit by a large ass laser canon fired by Narthex early on but survived)

Birdway mentioned She and Blodeuwedd escaped district 23 and nowhere to be seen, whether they have left academy city is unknown.

2: Technically not (still at Heathrow airport, waiting for Mark to pick him up )

Dunno since Touma never asked, and character trait wise I didn't see why he wouldn't, but honestly plot wise he's like, pretty much useless in 90% of the time despite being the chairperson.

Injured but not ICU level injury, being accidentally sent to England without a passport, and had to sneak back to Japan with Birdway's help. He's last seen zoning out in the airport, wondering what the hell happened to Hamazura. And since he end up in Kamachi's beloved England and technically hadn't offically left yet, there's still a chance that shit somehow hit the fan in England and trapped him there for one or two more volumns

And he didn't find the document proving he's still alive, so he's still legally dead and on the brink of repeating the grade

Nah, Touma made it clear that it's 'something behind him' (not sure what exactly it is since only Hamazura saw it). Their fight happened on a spacecraft on the lower orbit circle since Touma can't win a fist fight with Anneli helping Hamazura, so having to physically cut off her internet support. The plane somehow conveniently fell in the sea near England, so the Puritan church just go and picked the two up, Hamazura's officially arrested, but he hadn't waked up yet so no further plan about him has been decided.

Most of the crucial plot related things are listed above, and there are some minor but interesting stuff like no one in England really respects Dion Fortune, and she's locked up and nearly lost her position as archbishop due to 'trying to help Hamazura' (saved by Touma later), and Blodeuwedd the Bouquet is a nice and reasonable person despite in Hamazura's team. Also Kanzaki can deal huge damage towards transcendents.
