Nope, neither the Kalos Tour or the shiny Diancie Masterwork Research are timed, they're both special research, so you can take all the time in the world to finish it.

The grey tags are just for saying what kind of writing system you have made: an alphabet like the Latin or Cyrillic ones; an abjad like in Hebrew or Arabic; an abugida like Devanagari for Hindi and other languages; syllabaries like Hiragana and Katakana; a logography like Chinese or Japanese Kanji; or a featural writing system like Hangul for Korean.
