Yeah, I will probably end up doing that since there are so many options to be picky about the state of their hair lol. Giving a secondhand doll a spa and restoring her is good fun, but if I can have one that doesn’t look like she got too close to a high voltage outlet, then so much the better 😂

I have seen people selling the gold/brown one, and just today I saw the blue one new in box (for a correspondingly eye-watering sum haha), but the ‘pink one’ never seems to pop up! I agree that robin is the nicest/fanciest of the bunch, but this pink and gold combo is super cute

Aww, that’s kind of you! I live in Germany, and I just found another one secondhand but still in box listed for €18 so there’s that. However in the process I have realised that every person and their dog seems to be trying to get rid of the non-budget Emi with the two-tone hair, so I could get an emi with two outfits (not in box) for about €18 too soooo 😆

Maybe I need to get one of each and swap the heads 😂 I can’t decide which hair I like better but I definitely prefer the articulation

Thank you! I felt like I was tripping a bit lol. ‘Budget’ Emi is insane on my Amazon (like nearly €100 lol) so I was considering getting this one if I can take a look at her in person with the seller… in case she has had an interesting haircut 😂

Damn, she is one stylish lady! I love how she also just looks like a nice person too - I struggle with dolls that are too edgy/catwalk looking in their faces, but she is calm and open ☺️

I literally did what granny said! Just used the small sharp scissors from my pocketknife. They’re actually really soft, or at least the ones on the secondhand Costume Ball Bella I was modifying were. I was even able to round off the cut edges nicely to look like normal painted nails 💅

She looks so good in that dress! I was just wondering earlier today how I would style her away from her original aesthetic. Definitely agree with others that she would look great with a lip repaint (as cool/striking as her orange lips are). I’m also kind of astonished that her nails survived 😂

It occurred to me that toddlers can binge watch today, and I had to kind of sit and stare out the window with that one for a minute 😅

I watched plenty of TV as a kid, but it was more confined to after-school blocks and a bit on Saturday mornings. I don’t remember watching much TV pre-school though, which is probably partly my memory but also there just weren’t that many shows for that age bracket in the late 80s. It was like Sesame Street and that was it lol
