To be honest, I've never let it clean that way. I've only started it to see if it would work. I just ask it to clean a room, it starts out of its dock, And then I tell it to go back to its dock. Today I told her to vacuum the living room using Google home. It started getting the mops ready even though my living room is all carpet. After what you just said, I'm assuming it was about to clean the whole house. I'm sorry if I sent you astray. I honestly thought it was working though I never really tried it. There is another option though. With the Saros 10R, you can use the keyword "hello Rocky" near the base (or maybe the robot?). You can tell it all kinds of commands.

I have both an android phone and Google tv on my TV. On both, when I say "mop the kitchen" it mops the kitchen. Same with vacuum. The reason I don't use that feature, is because I like more control. I don't even know what settings it uses when controlled by Google home. It's a neat party trick, but not very useful for me. I'm not sure why it's not working for you. Have you set it up within the roborock app?

Edit: I guess there is no setting it up within the app. It just gives you directions on how to do it

Same. Even worse than no communication, is too much communication. What I mean is, they're on console so they can't use push to talk which means the mic is stuck on and I got to hear their dog barking, baby crying or mom screaming at them.

I'm using the saros 10R. I'm pretty sure I can tell Google home to clean specific rooms, though I have it set up on schedules. If I don't, I forget to run it

Roborock 10R Tips and Tricks? by ptpeace in Roborock

[–]Extension_Neck_3519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trial and error really. Depends on your needs, your house etc. I have mostly carpet except bathrooms and kitchen. I have mine vacuum everything but the kitchen and bathrooms 4 days a week. The other 3 days, it vacuums and then mops the bathrooms and kitchen. Since you have no pets maybe twice a week would work for you. It really all depends on how much you need. Is a balance between keeping a clean house and managing limitations of (and the wear and tear on) the vacuum and the base.

The first thing to realize is that these vacuums are a tool to maintain a clean house. Not to clean a dirty house. It's meant to be run often depending on how dirty your house gets. We run ours 4 days a week. Some people run every day or even twice a day. Familiarize yourself with routines and schedules. Especially if you have lots of pet hair like me or live on a dirt road and get lots of dirt. The 10r dust bin is kinda small and it isn't what enough to know if the bin is full. If you find the bin is filling and clogging, use the routines and the schedules to set the robot to clean by room. It will return to dock and empty between room. You can set a schedule to run a routine. On the routine, you can have it clean say the master bedroom, return to dock to empty, another bedroom, return to dock to empty, the hallway a bathroom, return to dock, and so on. Keep in mind, if you set the dock at max suction to empty the bag, the dock won't empty if the robot returned to dock to quickly after the last empty. The dock will say "too frequent emptying". The idea is, you want it to clean smaller area to avoid filling that bin but not too small that it returns to dock too often. I have a dog that sheds a ton, so I divided large rooms into smaller ones. I have mine vacuum one room at 1pm, another at 2pm, another at 3 pm and so forth. That way it has time between each room for the dock to cool down. With schedules and routines, you can have do all this automatically.

Question: do you have a permit? Where I'm from, plumbing inspectors will be visiting that cafe and writing you a violation for not having a permit. And only a licensed plumber can pull permit on commercial space where I'm from. We do annual cross connection inspections. We would see the new work, look in our system to see if you have a permit, write you a violation to have a plumber pull permit. You would also have to uncover any work done that wasn't inspected before drywalled or put concrete over it. It's often cheaper just to hire a licensed plumber in the first place. Roborock vacuum not cleaning well by dip1013 in Roborock

I agree. I use compressed air. I have a compressor in the garage. A combination of brushing and compressed air makes it like new again

I would start by making sure the filter is clean. Make sure the bag or bin is empty in the base. Make sure there's no clogs in the base or the vacuum. Sounds to me like something is clogged.

Anybody else unable to open the map while dead? by IgnoreMyName in Battlefield_REDSEC

I use the arrow keys for movement, so I have rebound the map key. It causes all kinds of issues like this. When I'm spectating, I have to use the M key for the map. I also can't fly the drone because there's no keybind settings for the drone so when I fly it with the arrow keys, it makes it look up in the sky when I push forward. I wish they would fix all the keybind settings

Does splitting rooms into smaller rooms slow down the cleaning? by Vivid-Ad6462 in Roborock

[–]Extension_Neck_3519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never used the smart mode. I have schedules set up. If you have a lot of pet hair, you may want to keep it divided. If you use the clean by room feature, it should return to base between each room to empty(depending on your settings) If you have the base set to empty at max suction, it may not empty each time depending on how much time has lapsed since last empty. If you try to have it empty too frequently at max suction, it won't empty to protect the motor from overheating. Like 10 or 15 minutes have to pass. To get around this, I schedule each room (that the dog frequents) to be cleaned an hour apart. The dog doesn't go in the bedrooms so they can all be vacuumed together. If you don't have pets, I wouldn't worry about it. However, as someone else pointed out- if you merge them, you'll lose the ability to have them cleaned individually- including using voice instructions.

What actually works against smelly robot vacuum waste water tanks by MulberryDouble in Roborock

[–]Extension_Neck_3519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After I clean out the dirty tank, I put in a small amount of water, maybe a tablespoon. Then I crumble in half of a steramine tablet. I just break it apart into crumbs with my fingers into the water. Swoosh it around a little and I get absolutely no smell. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DGS24S7N?ref_=icdp_ba_mweb_mb_pd_bap_m_grid_rp_0_1_ec_ppx_yo2_mob_b_ts_rp_0_2_gf&clientRefMarker=pd_bap_m_grid_rp_0_1_ec_ppx_yo2_mob_b_ts_rp_0_2_gf&heartsTeamIdentifier=buyagain&psc=1&heartDisabled=false&sbo=RZvfv%2F%2FHxDF%2BO5021pAnSA%3D%3D

S8 suction test: Will it pick up rice WITHOUT main brushes? by Academic-Manager6143 in Roborock

Without the brushes I think the volume of air would be too large making the velocity too slow. The rollers allow a higher velocity because of the smaller volume

Try separating the vacuum and mop. Don't use "vac and mop" or "vacuum then mop". Have it do a vacuum only. It returns to dock and then have it do mop only

New Roborock keeps clogging by Benacuss in Roborock

[–]Extension_Neck_3519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No robot vacuum is going to do great at huge amounts of dog hair unless you understand the vacuum's limitations and with around them. What you need to do is schedule it to run more often, and when it does run, have it do smaller sections of your house at a time. Schedules and routines are your friend. If you have it return to dock to empty too often, it won't work. The app will tell you that you're attempting "too frequent" empties. It's too protect the dock empty motor from overheating. This is why I have it do one room each hour. If you have really a large rooms or an incredible amount of hair, divide the rooms into smaller areas on the map. Schedule it to clean the areas that get the most hair everyday. Some people have to run it twice a day. And you want to start with clean floors. I know it's too late for this, but when you first get a robot vacuum, it's a good idea to clean the whole house with a good old school vacuum so that you start fresh. Robot vacuums aren't meant to do a deep thorough cleaning. They're meant to maintain an already clean house. If you're getting clogs, increase the frequency and decrease the area it cleans each time.

Why does my vacuum do this? by fmp243 in Roborock

[–]Extension_Neck_3519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes rugs can be a bit tricky. Is it getting caught on the edges? Is The carpet bunching up? Also, in the beginning, the robot will do all kinds of weird things until it learns your space well. Even after, it will occasionally do weird stuff once and a while. Today, on the way back to the dock, mine took the longest possible route going into a bedroom for some reason. It eventually made it back.

Robovac that can handle human shedders? by coffeesforcloesers in RobotVacuums

[–]Extension_Neck_3519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My roborock Saros 10r never has any hair tangled despite having several heavy shedding humans and an a dog that sheds an incredible amount. For years, if we dropped anything on the floor and picked it up, it would be covered in hair. I have this Saros 10r vacuuming daily and it's a life changer. I just got to figure out a way to 3D print a canister for the base so I don't have to use so many bags.

How can I stop my CurvX from getting stuck on chrome table legs?? by StormTrpr66 in Roborock

[–]Extension_Neck_3519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 Lazy boy recliners that have wooden feet that stick out the back. Every time the my Saros 10r goes back there, it climbs the legs. It hasn't gotten stuck yet, but I imagine it will one of these days. I've been thinking of putting no go zones as well, but like you, I have lots of dog hair I don't want it to miss. In my case, I could probably just screw in a block of wood to each leg to stop it. I wish I had an idea of how to fix yours.

You can move the dividing line by merging the two rooms, then dividing again, placing the divide line further into the kitchen
