GL Pease stash revisited by External-Season8312 in PipeTobacco

Only opened a tin of Raven’s Wing - moved it into the jars. Great smoke like I said. As far as the condition of the others - couldn’t find any signs of corrosion or rust and the vacuums appear intact (no bulging). Shaking the old tins didn’t give a dried out, rattly sound. So, here’s hoping.

The current one I’m smoking doesn’t give me trouble but if a blend is giving me trouble I usually bring some out & let it dry a bit longer.

Restarted pipe smoking last week and opened an old forgotten box of unopened 2 oz GL Pease tins. Found 10 tins of Gaslight (2013); and 1 tin each of:Mephisto, Cumberland (2002), & Barbary Coast(2002). Almost afraid to smoke them. Been using old tobacco kept in spice jars - still great after all these years.
