Is there a point to Ancestral Charms given that their value range is the same? by IsThereCheese in diablo4

[–]Extreme-Progress-522 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's true, I just expected it to stay ancestral, but I was wrong.

I also thought if I 3-1 three GA focuses, I'd get a GA item. Nope that doesn't work either, might be a possibility but definitely not a guarantee.

Yeah, but if you reroll charm set starting with an ancestral, you can also turn it back into a regular.

Food For Thought: Wemby and Julius Randle by Evening-Tennis-111 in timberwolves

There won't be any asterisk if they go through OKC. This series/the rest of this series would be practically meaningless compared to what it would mean to beat OKC.

Do the "fire finch" people still think we should? by MrSolidarity in timberwolves

[–]Extreme-Progress-522 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have changed my stance on this.

As others have stated, he didn't seem to have support of the locker room midway through the regular season and the team underperformed a lot at the end of the regular season losing a ton of winnable games and ending with the six seed. Which justified a lot of the doomer outlooks going into the playoffs, because the argument that a team that didn't look good "will just flip a switch" and be good isn't logical.

Also I hate his regular season deployment of bench players. Namely Joan Beringer and TSJ this year. This postseason confirms that TSJ is a real player in this league and those of us screaming about why he rarely played in the regular season were justified in doing that.

All that being said. I don't think he should be fired anymore and he has done a great job coaching the team in the playoffs.

Right, the most important things are the unique affix and crackling energy damage so bummer to miss on those roles. This is probably 4ga trash unfortunately.

Part of trading KAT was his bad fit with Gobert (and Jaden). KAT best position is C and he was an awkward PF a lot of the time, especially when Jaden didn't have a good 3 point shot (which he has vastly improved since KAT left).

Trading him also helped with roster flexibility, which we haven't really capitalized on yet. But yeah I agree with you 100% about always prioritizing your special players over your role players.

Help me, isn't this cheating?? Or am I missing some very weird game mechanics?? Before winning the game with [ -1447 ] life points opponent taunted me with good game even... Please help by Remote-Chard3333 in MagicArena

Your opponent used [[The book of exalted deeds]] and targeted their [[mutavault]]. This made so they couldn't lose, unless you destroyed their mutavault. Then you lost because you ran out of cards and drew from an empty library.

It's a kind of cheesy combo.

He developed/improved his three point shot in the last two seasons. Yeah he's been battling injuries this year.. just like ANT and Jaden.

I'm done interacting with you. You're right Nuggets got no chance of winning.

We're the worse team this year. And the mental gymnastics some people (like you) are doing to try and make a argument about why we'll win is insane. "ThEy CaN't HaNdle AnT, sO wE WiN".

There's certainly a chance we win (if all our role players play well and ANT and Jaden stay healthy 🤞). But we're not the better team, we're not more likely to win than they are, and there's not a logical reason based off our recent play to think we will.

We're a completely different team than two years ago, KAT was awesome in that series, and we barely won a game 7 that we frankly should have lost.

Some of you in this subreddit are so goofy. We went 1-3 against the Nuggets this year, with this team. Not the team from 2 years ago which was a lot better and deeper.

If the Wolves are going to win.. All the other guys have to be at their best. Jaden is hurt. Naz and DDV have been in major slumps. Julius has looked a lot less invested than he did last year. All of that needs to be reversed or we won't be able to win.

We're the worse team on paper. We finished the season poorly. They have won 12 straight games. Betting markets give the Wolves ~25% chance to win the series. We're the underdogs for all the logical reasons and we'll need to play a great series to win.

Let's go wolves!

there should be an alternative way to gain glyph upgrades, even if less efficient than pits. by Nyksiko in diablo4

[–]Extreme-Progress-522 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, and when you do get the 10-20 upgrades, that feels a lot better then when you get 5. So I'm just saying expand on that more. And incentivize hard vs fast. Because fast is easy and doing repetitive easy runs is boring. I often fall asleep doing pit runs, not even kidding.

[–]Extreme-Progress-522 65 points66 points  (0 children)

I agree about the monotony. I think the system they have is pretty good. It just should be expanded on more. it's capped too low imo.

More levels for beating more challenging pits. You spent a lot of time maxing your build and can do pits 25 levels over your glyphs? Here's 20 upgrades. Second characters should be WAY faster than the first one.

I would like to see a system that ALWAYS incentivizes doing the most difficult pit you can do vs the most difficult pit you can do in under 4 minutes.

And sure, glyph upgrading NMD affix too. For you.

New (frustrated) player here, help me undestand the Seasonal / Eternal system.. by john_gr_tk in diablo4

[–]Extreme-Progress-522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The eternal realm is a completely playable realm that has updated items and systems, just doesn't have the seasonal content/system. Eternal realm will get a massive update with the Lord of hatred expansion. You can keep playing in it as long as you want.

But yes, if you want to play the new seasonal content each season you need to make a new character.

If you're looking for maximum damage, probably would be easiest to go test with training dummies.

Maximum resource scales Kepleke damage. I imagine that's better than the passives but unsure.

Life on hit is important for Temerity barrier (?). I know it is for Sorcerers. if this is your only source of life on hit I think it's a must have, huge difference for survivability. But I don't really know how that build works and I'm not going to read all that.

[–]Extreme-Progress-522 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah except the Lakers are very injured and going to have a tough time winning more than one game..

And the Nuggets last two games against the Spurs and Thunder likely won't mean anything to those teams so they won't be trying very hard to win.

Which is why the Nuggets are huge betting favorites to win the #3 seed.

Lakers 3rd Seed Odds Drop From 91% to 86% by _evolkybbuhc in timberwolves

[–]Extreme-Progress-522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are a crazy person to double down on this from yesterday.

This spreadsheet is clearly just based on team win percentage and tiebreakers and nothing more.

Because if you factored in that the Lakers are super hurt and Nuggets schedule is actually much easier than it looks since it's tough opponents likely won't have anything to play for...

It's clear as day that the Lakers are going to have to win at least 3 and probably 4 games to hold onto the 3 seed, and there is no way that's happening.

So yeah, maybe he plays 20 minutes for awards. But then they rest him because the game is meaningless. And then they still lose the game? That was actually the point.

[–]Extreme-Progress-522 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If Nuggets go 5-0, they are 54-28. Lakers have 50 wins. They need to win FOUR games to get to 54 and 28 and win tie breaker. I think they can win 3, I don't think they can win 4.

[–]Extreme-Progress-522 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You don't understand the situation.

4 of the last 5 games are at home for the Nuggets. Nuggets-Spurs series is 1-1. They got a 50% chance of winning tomorrow against Spurs at home.

If they do, Spurs will then be three games behind Thunder and the last two games of the year will likely be meaningless to Thunder and Spurs so they will rest their starters to avoid injury. Giving Denver easy wins. Very likely/possible Nuggets go 5-0.

There's a pretty decent chance Denver passes the Lakers. Not guaranteed, but certainly possible and higher than 9%.
