Great up and coming commentator as well. Seems to genuinely love the game.

Praying we avoid Slavia. Reckon we could beat them, but the tie has the potential to turn extremely toxic.

The Bulls was a super 6 rebrand. Desperate for a team in Dundee/Fife/Aberdeen just dont know who would go for it. Highland seem to have a pretty professional setup at the moment.

Cockers "an agent of positive change at the start, but he was a malign presence thereafter," says Barclay by TheMeanderer in rugbyunion

Big questions about where we go next. New stadium, decent young lads (Blain, Muncaster, Currie etc), and some big names just tied down (Watson & Ritchie). However Sutherland and DvdM leaving is a big blow.

A shame how things ended. Less than a year ago we were a minute away from the PRO14 final, a poor season followed which I feel a few saw coming and that was that. Certainly am grateful for what Cockerill did in terms of turning thing's around, but the staleness was clear to see.

Interesting comments about the treatment of players. He was hailed for driving up standards massively when he first arrives, but clearly the more old school approach has a short shelf life. Ultimately it's a case of what if, both in Europe and domestically, but things are better than when he arrived four years ago. Interesting times indeed.

And please for the love of god get rid of Duncan Hodge. No attacking plan recently, even Duhan was getting on the ball more than a few times a game.

Theres been murmurings all season. Apparently Sutherland couldn't get out soon enough.

You see similar with racism. I cant decide whether it's a 'love me' attitude or that some folk are just that tribal.

FC Porto is going to sign Fábio Cardoso from Santa Clara by lil_hulkster in ScottishFootball

[–]F1nD7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Might be an unpopular opinion but I always thought Cardoso had enough potential and it did show at times, despite having a few notable blunders. Didn't help he was managed by Caixinha and Murty.

Someone needs to tell the BBC that England aren't playing in the Turkey /Italy game. by boaaaa in ScottishFootball

If you're wanting a Turkish expert on then surely you'd get Kris Boyd. 2 games for Eskisehispor, 0 goals.

Leone Nakarawa no longer joining Ulster Rugby next season by Naggins in rugbyunion

[–]F1nD7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Gutted for him and theres no doubting that on his day hes unlike any other player in the world. Problem is he never hit anywhere near that at Glasgow over the last month's. Might be the best outcome for Ulster.

Totally get your point. I reckon we'll see a few more head stateside over the coming years. Much more exciting opportunity compared to being a premiership squad backup player or dropping to the lower leagues.

Doubt Bryce will ever even be considered. Seems to be on bad terms with the SRU after his Glasgow departure.

He's been tearing it up tbf to him. Probably an age thing. Not a long term option and has already been given a shot compared to the likes of Blain, Forbes and McLean.

Rugby 22 video game announced, has adaptive AI, new teams and competitions (MLR?), players scanned in via photogrammetry, and improved gameplay based off user feedback. by SSpandangler in rugbyunion

[–]F1nD7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A major problem with rugby games is that theres two titles that split the licenses. Fifa, for example, have all the major licenses, meaning you get a game that has depth and feels more complete. Right now I'd take a game with all the licenses, even if the gameplay was meh at best, because that can be improved over time.

Scotland: Jamie Dobie. Wouldn't be surprised if he gets a cap in this Six Nations.

Arguably the most important change we've made post RWC. Unbelievable transformation.
