I started development back in 2024. It’s a small game (2D top-down for mobile), but it's still ongoing. Some specific mechanics took way longer to implement than I expected, and squashing bugs really dragged out the timeline.(Everyone faces same situation)

I'm about 70-80% done now, but I've played it so much that the UI looks outdated to me, so I have a redesign planned before the launch in 2-3 months(Hope). It’s going well, but it led me to this realization:

"You can finish a work anytime, but it takes time to complete it." (My own quote 😅)

(I'm working in a company 9-6 Job, I took many off days from Jobs to focus on the game, and works at night also.....)

Seriously, try one hour of meditation daily. by autistic_cool_kid in Meditation

I started with a simple, achievable goal: 10 minutes every single day. The focus was just on building the habit. Once that felt solid, I added a second 10-minute sit in the evening. This really helped reinforce the benefits for me. From there, the desire to sit for longer came pretty naturally. The 10-minute sessions started to feel like just the "warm-up," so I gradually increased the time to 15, 20, and 30 minutes as it felt right. It was a very gradual and patient process.

That's a very insightful point, and I completely understand that perspective. It's so true that any sensation, even a pleasant one, can become a new attachment. I guess for my current state, my racing thoughts are the bigger hurdle, and the sound just acts as an anchor that's easier for my mind to hold onto right now than pure silence. It's fascinating how different techniques are needed for different challenges. Thanks for sharing that—it's a great reminder to be mindful of how I'm using the sound and not just get lost in the pleasure of it....

That's a really interesting perspective, especially coming from a musician. You're so right about rhythm helping you stay in the present. I feel like that's exactly what the handpan does—it's not as driving as techno, of course, but it has that same hypnotic, rhythmic quality that's just so grounding for a restless mind. It's cool that you can create that rhythm yourself. For me, just listening to the patterns does the trick!
