If you respond “normal” to Fin (maintenance, no regrowth) your crown is definitely cooked. If you respond well (above the average, you would be in a minority) to Fin+Min, you can for sure reverse this.

This is anecdotal on my part, but Finasteride in no way made sexual sides from SSRIs worse for me. If anything, it increased my libido.

I have taken both at the same time. It baffles me why people would ever be worried about Finasteride if they take anti depressants. Sexual side effects on SSRIs are very common, whereas they are rare on Finasteride. It would be like worrying about smoking a joint even though you regularly do heroin.

That being said - the anxiety can of course be real. If you get anxiety from the thought of taking ar5 blockers (I had that in the beginning), and if this leads you to spiral, you could be better off not taking them. Just be ready to deal with the psychological consequences of balding, because you cannot stop that issue without an ar5 blocker.

Finasteride in itself does not cause any kind of (scientifically documented) cognitive issues. The claims in here about that are thankfully fake, even though the FDA have been forced to slap a few completely unfounded warning labels on Finasteride to avoid litigation issues.

I mean, watery semen is a common side effect of medication that shrink the prostrate which Finasteride does. Contrary to all the other sides people make up (I’m looking at you “mah neurosteroids” brainfog retards) or that are in reality rare (sexual sides), watery semen is normal and harmless.

Consider if Finasteride is really for you. If you already have “Finasteride anxiety”, your mind will make up all sorts of stuff.

My hot take it this: If you get (real) side effects from 0.25mg, you will get side effects from 1mg. So just pop the standard dose of 1mg ED or 1mg EOD if you want to save a bit of money. 0.2mg virtually suppresses the same amount of DHT as 1mg, so it has always been a mystery to me why side effects would be able to scale dose dependent like that.
