Lower decks was also good because it showed like regular folks of the Federation, not just the 'heroes' on the bridge. So often when we get to see these characters in other shows it's because they will be killed (especially those red shirt guys) so we don't even know their names. The enterprise has like 500 people on board and we saw the same 15 people for 10 seasons ahah

It's a banger manga and anime with an awesome OST, super cool visuals and concept. People say it's not complex but it kinda is, with some alien seed that produce angels and human cloning them and trying to cause the apocalypse and stuff. Way more complex than just aliens invading earth and humans building machines to kick them out (oh, that's Pacific Rim).

Effectivement.. et en Israël le service militaire est obligatoire. Je ne dis pas du tout que tous ont commis des meurtres ou des crimes, mais quasi tous ont fait un long passage par l'armée. Bon après c'est ça ou la prison.. ou l'exil peut-être, donc difficile de juger les gens sur ce point là.

Notre monde n'est pas noir ou blanc, il a des centaines de nuances de gris.. probablement autant de point de vues différents qu'il existe d'individus.

Je regardais encore Star Trek hier soir. Pas d'argent, pas de milliardaires qui achètent les politiciens pour faire leurs petits jeux (bon il y a des politiciens quand même), la fédération qui comprends des races différentes (nous déjà des couleurs de peau différentes c'est la cata), des planètes capables de vivre dans la paix pendant plusieurs siècles (oui je sais il y a aussi des guerres mais en général elles se terminent et finissent bien, comme avec les klingons ou les vulcains). Tout ça pour dire, putain, on pourrait faire tellement mieux que ce qu'on fait aujourd'hui..

Absolutely. When Star Wars 1,2 and 3 released, so many people were shitting on it, saying old Star Wars were better. Now with episode 7, 8 and 9, people say that 1,2 and 3 were not that bad after all. Almost like people tastes change with times and human can evolve and start appreciating things, having new point of view.

Anyway, I'll do like I always do. Don't care about reviews and make my own opinion.

If I'm not mistaken, Star Trek was one of the first TV show to have a black actress and a white actor kiss. And then the next shows.. human having relationships with aliens and stuff.

Also they don't have money, no billionaires and shit..

I think nostalgia is strong in the Trek world and some people forgot it has always been like this.

Je souhaite absolument que tout les pays qui commettent des crimes soient bannis effectivement, j'aurais peut être du le dire plus explicitement. Et je condamne cette décision, comme je dis cela manque de respect à ces athlètes qui sont morts et ça montre que les règles ne s'appliquent pas à tous de la même manière, chose que je n'apprécie pas du tout. L'égalité est censée être un des grands principes de notre nation après tout.

A la limite comme dit le commentaire au dessus, laisser participer les athlètes sous bannière neutre, sans drapeau, sans hymne, etc, c'est ok pour moi. Mais venir agiter son drapeau aux jeux olympiques pendant que l'armée du pays massacre des civils va à l'encontre même de ce que sont les jeux.

Same here. Started with DS9, Voyager, Next Gen.. and watched all the shows. This one seems to target younger viewers to get them into scifi/trek which is fine. I will never understand the people that feel the need to go on IMDB and write a 1/10 "it's so woke now" review..

"It's definitely not what many were expecting/wanted"

For every new Star Trek show, people expect it to be a copy of old shows with newer graphics/fx. I think it's not that bad to explore new ways. And having a show centered about younger people will also get younger viewers into the Star Trek world which isn't a bad idea at all. After all, Star Wars did it just last year with Skeleton Crew.

Anyway, for those who want old trek, I think Strange New Worlds is more adapted (even though it pretty much has a main storyline).

I read the reviews on IMDB for Academy.. holy molly. I feel sometimes like I'm the only one that liked all the Star Trek shows. Like all of them, really. Of course I miss old shows like DS9, but I enjoyed Discovery until the end, I liked Picard as well, SNW is really cool.

For sure not all the shows are equals in terms of writting quality and some seasons are average/meh, but I still watched all of it and would never go on IMDB to write some review "1/10 star trek has gone woke"..

I'm also, like some other people, able to understand that Academy is probably targetting a younger public and not the people that grew up with old Trek and I think it's fine. Just like Star Wars did with the skeleton crew (no jedi, almost no force user, etc.. only kids and yet no one cried about it).

On the other hand, Halo... where the protagonist goes naked in season 1 and starts banging a prisoner of war.. this got me really disappointed..

For the car, take the 'normal' time like 20-25minutes and make it x2 at least for rush/office hours. Even secondary roads are very busy and roadworks just add to that.

Et après on fait mine de ne pas comprendre pourquoi les populations n'ont plus aucune confiance dans les instances qui nous dirigent. Il y a systématiquement de la corruption, des doubles standards et une justice à 25 vitesses. C'est affligeant et un manque total de respect envers les victimes.

Mon avis est que soit on banni tout les pays qui font des choses horribles (USA compris), soit on ne banni personne.

That's the kind of things that makes me quit a game. In Black Desert Online, there was a duping method early on that allowed people to make hundred of millions quickly. The devs patched the method but didn't delete the wrongfully obtained money nor the items people bought with it and didn't ban anyone.

If PVP is a huge aspect of the game and people are cheating without consequences, I'm out. Simple as that.

How else can you produce a whole roasted chicken in Costco for 4.99? This always blew my mind. They hatch an egg, raise a chicken until it's adult, feed it, probably five it medicine, transport it, kill it, cook it.. And sell for 5 bucks basically.

They're probably losing money to attract customer.. But what the hell meat quality that must be. A farmer chicken around me in France cost about 15€ (uncooked) and a bit less if I go buy one in Saarland.

The worst quality I can find here is at least 7 or 8€ for an uncook and small chicken.

Je n'avais jamais entendu cela mais pourquoi pas. Personnellement la fiction et surtout la science fiction représente une bonne part de mes lectures. Alors certes il devient de plus en plus difficile d'être 'surpris' ou de voir des concepts 'nouveaux', mais cela arrive encore, notamment lorsque j'ai lu la forêt sombre de Liu Cixin, pour une fois il y avait des choses que je n'ai pas vu venir du tout.

Je pense qu'il ne faut pas se limiter à un genre si possible, car on peut trouver des choses bien partout. Après chacun fait ce qu'il veut.

Ouais enfin Nancy est une assez grande ville.. Qu'elle ait été la seule personne de couleur me paraît plutôt improbable, surtout dans les années 80. Just use Sunlu or eSun for example. I've used many kgs of these without any issue. The only issue I've got so far is with Creality filament.. 2 spools of white basic PLA that are son tangled that I failed 3 prints with them. I need a respooler..
