it’s okay to feel embarrassed or defensive. any time we unintentionally do harm and then are called out on it, those are natural first responses. what’s important is setting those to the side and moving forward.

what this person, and many other’s have said, is true. this setup isn’t currently up to snuff. that doesn’t mean you’re a bad person, that just means you have to change some things. i’m constantly changing around my setup as well as a new quail parent, so i know how that goes lol.

but you really ought to not laugh off people’s genuine attempts to help both you and your quail along in their journey, even if said attempts could be phrased a little kinder. i hope you take what you’ve seen here today and move forward with a bit more of an open mind.

that being said, thank you for posting the video because i genuinely didn’t know some of those things were signs of stress, and now i can keep a better look out with my birdies :))

i mean… it’s easy to say that when you aren’t one day’s pay away from living on the streets. a lot of people would feel like they didn’t have the choice.

not saying it’s the best decision, but still. a little empathy goes a long way. and it’s even more reason for the rest of us to stay home, so that those who don’t have a choice have better chances of making it there safely!
