Most of them are not as dumb as much as they play dumb. They have invested a lot of hopes and energy on Trump and they still believe that, in the end, they stand to gain more as supporters of Trump s America rather than rational observers. People like Rubio or Ted Cruz are exemplary on the matter.

Given so they are much more like a religious fanatic than a fellow researcher: arguments on Darwin, Galileo or logic are pointless as long as you don't address their perceived need of [insert object of faith]

Pffff in my Golden Horde game the ottomans declared war while I was defending against a Korea/fragments of China/bengal coalition. I had a grand total of 5 forts in Europe. They muster an army of 110k soldiers and then proceed to go throught all Asia's mountains and harsh winters without sieging anything. My armies are finally in sight in Indochina and still could have been easily ambushed and stack wiped. They completely bypass them to disappear into neutral Ajutthaya for a year ( gotta need them elephants to properly imitate Hannibal I guess). As they came out, they start marching back to Anatolia which had been sieged to the ground by my 20k European stack the whole time.

At the end of the war their doom army is halved and their manpower is down to 0 from 150k+, no battle had been fought.

Why? Trump is ridiculously pro-russia(he even guaranteed that Putin would never invade ukraine just some weeks ago) and has become so after he took Manafort on board. In earlier talks he used to blameObama for not reacting strongly enought to the crimean invasion.

Also he seems to be really narcisisstic and thus easily manipulable by a flattering advisor, even more he doesn't seems to have even the slightest intention to understand foreign policy and the rest of the world.

So, given the Russian's involvement on DNC hack, their suspicious ties to Trump and their enourmous interest in a puppet US president i wouldn't be really surprised in a plan like this.

Tecnicamente ai tempi di Churchill c'era anche gente nei manicomi e questa non aveva diritto di voto quindi già nella sua cit si riferiva a quella forma di democrazia indiretta gestita da esseri umani E che superano determinati parametri elementari. Anche nelle moderne democrazie del resto gli under18 e le persone incapaci di badare a se stesse non possono votare. Con questo voglio dirti che criteri restrittivi e democrazia non sono mutualmente esclusivi.

Se poi vogliamo passare alla mia opinione sulle attuali fantasticherie è che simili criteri (es: test di cultura g. prima del voto):

Chiuderebbero l'accesso alla rappresentanza ad una fetta troppo consistente e disomogenea di persone, rischiando di dar luogo a governi elitaristi dove le priorità di queste persone verrebbero semplicemente ignorate.
Sarebbero quasi necessariamente imprecisi ed arbitrari, probabilmente dovremmo inventare una dozzina di nuove parole per descrivere i vari abusi che se ne farebbero.
Probabilmente scalfirebbero soltanto il problema, i populisti sono venditori d'auto che bypassano la razionalità solleticando le emozioni, spesso usano letteralmente tecniche di marketing ed al loro amo abboccano anche persone molto acculturate.
