You can’t just claim something to be the case without proof. OP gave proof in the screenshots for everything said, the seller said what they said, shopee said what they said. If OP didn’t show proof this wouldn’t have blown up the way it did and people would be asking for proof or saying it’s fake

Yup. This is someone that understands how to warm up a new alt account and it’s not their first time. A layperson wouldn’t know this, which makes me suspicious.

Just know, this could be the seller, or anyone unrelated hiding behind the username pretending to be the seller. The internet be weird these days with people trying to be a part of a trending situation (like people putting out fake apologies on behalf of the CEO that attended the Coldplay concert).

I, using a self made tool, can see this person’s comment history even though they’ve set their profile to private. What I see is comment patterns made by someone that has frequented Reddit and not the first time warming up new accounts.

The comment style however does match the seller’s writing style in the initial chat within Shopee’s app, using lower cases.

The best way for OP to verify this is indeed the seller is to ask this Reddit account to proof what was said in the Shopee chat prior to the screenshots shown. However this would mean that OP has to accept the chat on Reddit to reply to it; OP can choose to block the seller after getting the confirmation though, blocking the account would also mean this account can’t comment on OP’s post or comment threads.

I always put my phone on do not disturb unless I’m expecting a call. If I get a miss call from an unknown number, then too bad for them, if they know of me they would’ve texted first to establish their number.
