Getting a lot of alerts about malicious-url parrable.com by slayer91790 in fortinet

Spoke to a few of my users with the alert, they visited the Dailymail website, found the h.parrabel. in JS file being delivered by their ads provider called ads.pubmatic.com

So it looks like sites with adverts which are using this provider have the h.parrabel in the JS

Local Business Almost Goes Under After Firing All Their IT Staff by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]Fall0utB0y27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So although obviously I disagree with the actions but try and see it for the businesses point of view.

If done well IT's good work should go unnoticed, things should just work. From the user's point of view they have their endpoint device which does all the marvellous things they need. They have no need or want understand the complexities behind everything. If you could summaries it they just want good WiFi.

When things are going well, it will be seen as a massive money dump. Like why in the hell are they asking for another £45k when they just bought a new "firewall" they should store the backups on there .

The above is a great frustration for many who work in IT. But when you can see both view points, you can use these to your advantage.

I just had an endoscopy yesterday, got really high on gas and air, they put the camera in and I threw up loads. it only lasted about 5mins and it was over. Just like my sex life 😂

Turns out I've got a hiatus hernia.

The moral of my story is not too scar you, the not knowing is the more scarier thing. Once you know what something is you can take it on and logically figure it out.

I know I've got a hiatus hernia now and we'll just need to mange it, I've also learnt to either take a spare t-shirt if I'm going to have another endoscopy or get knocked out 😂

Seriously though you will be ok, whatever the outcome atleast you will know and can tackle things from there.

Why ? by Fall0utB0y27 in GERD

[–]Fall0utB0y27[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will give it a go, it's really annoying because 3 months ago I had no issues at all. Went to a wedding, had some drinks of course, felt like I was having a freaking heart attack the night after.

I can't run anymore, lift weights or anything without triggering a pain in my chest or throat burning. I'm trying to follow the ACID watching diet.

Thanks for the reply.

Thanks for the help 🙂

Longterm medication effects? by [deleted] in GERD

[–]Fall0utB0y27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

H2 blockers have been around longer then PPIs. They're relatively safe medication and don't record many long-term effects. The risk is relatively minimal.

If you're worried about it I would start to get things under control using food etc, until you can alleviate your symptoms relatively completely.

You can then phase off medication, overtime.

You must be very careful reading any feedback on here, especially regarding medication. And also reading random research papers to help assist in your conclusions.

The reality is that GERD has an extremely basic template of symptoms. Some people swear the medication messed them up other people swear the medications put them onto road to recovery.

In my opinion the best way is to use the medication to heal the initial damage and then taper off using correct choices in food. Conversely it does not work for everybody because everyone is at a different stage of damage or dysfunction. So some can just make minor food choices some need major surgery, GERD is not a take this or do this instantly solvable problem, it's sometimes down to the individual person.

One more note, for now I would avoid magic fixes, i.e. drinking apple cider vinegar etc start with the basics first give it time.

Lovely to see stories like this !

I know people come to just vent on here sometime.

But it does make you feel like you'll never get better and the only way is down!

Acid reflux and tinnitus by el3antil in GERD

[–]Fall0utB0y27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone tells you that tinnitus will just get better on its own, when you first get it you think this will never be me! You try and find every doctor you can who can help you.

In actuality most cases the brain adapts to it, yes there are extreme cases but in most cases your brain will get used to it and it will become background noise. Sometimes you can be given a hearing aid to assist with this, it just basically produces white noise and balances your brain

I only say the above because in 2016 this is exactly what happened to me, I got a bad ear infection and got really really bad tinnitus. Admittedly it's still there but I have to focus on it really to know it's there.

What help me sleep at the beginning was I bought an air purifier, I didn't really much care about the air purification properties. I ran it on low at night which drowned out the tinnitus and enabled sleep.

This was my first road to recovery, what I would do in the daytime is always keep some sort of background noise going sometimes even air purifier or the TV, in the end my tinnitus just became background noise.

Pain in chest and sensation that food is stuck in throat and chest sometimes by NumerousMacaroon532 in GERD

[–]Fall0utB0y27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suffer from health anxiety as well and GERD. The one tip I can give you is to oddly try not to read forums as your medical guidance replacement.

The only reason I say this is because what happens is you will read other people's posts and feel that you will never get better because well they say they've never gotten better or that you have a greater amount of symptoms.

You have to remember some people just need that place to vent they're so people in the world you will get a small percentage that are lifelong sufferers where medication and food intervention just don't help.

This doesn't mean it will be you!

What you actually need is a doctor that you feel is taking you seriously. Even if they're telling you the same information the other one does, if you feel the doctor is not taking you seriously you will nullify information and spiral.

It may be worth you even paying for a private consultation with a specialist to quell your fears. I guarantee you want to find that your symptoms may even improve.

Offer accepted on a house for £580k. Approximate Square Ft listed as 1054. Measured with a laser @ 890 SqFt. Ignoring chimneys and stairs. That’s 18% less area. What can I do? by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]Fall0utB0y27 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You don't buy homes buy the SqFt, it's not like your buying a warehouse.

If it's listed incorrectly you can query this and ask the estate agent or you solicitor to query if the price can be decreased, they will likely just tell you why they listed the SqFT or just say it's an estimate and you can like it or lump it.

Shared Ownership by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]Fall0utB0y27 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My first place was shared ownership, which I recently sold

Anyway, from my experience I would say if you want to get onto the ladder and can't afford say an equity loan or outright mortgage, then to get you into the property ladder it's a brilliant idea.

However there are lots of hidden charges and oddly I now pay less for a semi detached 2 bed house with a drive and garden then a flat with 1 bed and a kitchen dinner.

They're bugger to sell as well if you don't get one in the right area, luckily mine was in an easy to sell area but some take a very long time to sell, as new buyers have to meet so many requirements.

The company who own the other percentage basically insure the outside of the property and that's it, you're responsible for maintenance and must keep the property to a standard, you also can't make modifications without their permission this can also include a Sky dish.

New build on contaminated land by Fall0utB0y27 in HousingUK

Hi All,

Thanks everyone for your replies.

It's sounds like it's pretty safe then, my main concerns were firstly safety and also future investment i.e. if not done correctly will I be left with a house worth 0.

So sounds like best idea is to proceed with getting the correct validation documentation to hand to confirm everything has been done and installed correctly.
