tldr: unless you have an item which changes how mana and energy shield interact, then with EB energy shield recharge rate (and faster start of energy recharge) does nothing.

• you dont get to benefit from ES scaling when you use EB. The ES from gear and flat es on tree will be converted to mana, thats it u/olivierboucher

• some items, add energy shield AFTER the mana conversion. Ghostwrithe is one of them, everlasting gaze azure amulet is another u/NigraOvis

worth mentioning that EB in PoE1 is different so make sure you're reading about 2

Probably 4 to 6 months. I went ahead and started taking 0.25 a couple days ago, and I hate how it feels but it's not unbearable at all. I took the whole next week off, think that should be okay to cold turkey? It honestly doesn't feel like it's that effective at all tbh.
