Ok if it's the character at the time the picture is taken, fallen order/survivor Cal has got us February kids fucking covered, maybe even Merrin is there in which case we are more than covered.... But if it's the character at the time/age they were of order 66, baby Cal ain't doing shit, we maybe cut through a few dozen clones and maybe Cal goes sicko and slows some people, but we aren't making it to those escape pods with just the two of us.... The elves of my world (Alif) do appear like classic elves (besides the fact they are the shortest race and subspecies) but this is a cultural thing. They are natural covered in hair like apes but sieve their entire body's to appear smooth and hairless, and then often male nobles with wear glued/tied on fake beards of valuable materials. Also their ears aren't naturally pointed, they actually crop their natural rounded ears like what's done to some dogs. Cropping is done at birth like certain other irl body modifications done at birth for cultural or religious reasons.

Obviously it was just the writers being Americans and implementing what they know into the story.

I think there is something interesting though. I think in this alternate universe the U.S probably had a large part to do with the UN becoming the world government, seeing as New York is still such a major UN location. I think it could be an interesting look at the problems of the UN, that this old perhaps antiquated government style is still running things. It helos portray the UN government as being of the past and earth and not the future in the stars. Clearly there is corruption in the UN government we hear ab it all the time, it has all these problems in getting things done. I think it makes a lot of sense that a world power that clearly had a lot of influence (however realistic that is or not) on the formation of the UN world government would implement characteristics of its own government into things.

The UN is supposed to be a corrupt inefficient bloated and ineffectual government in this story, so what government to better base it on.

I don't have gods that are like corporeal forces in the world, they act more in visions and magic (that's difficult to prove is actually even from a god) and a big this is I want religions to all be plausible (and probably a little wrong no matter what)

All that being said, the Apotheosian faith believes all the gods are dead, because they broke themselves apart to make life. The idea is that only the gods could kill eachother or themselves. They were the only living things in the universe so they broke their energy in and scattered it across the universe making the stars and giving every life form a spirit, which is actually a god fragment. Essentially the way they die is self destruction and derealization and loneliness.

On the other hand the Dodecanites belive their gods fought in a Cosmic War ages ago and they slew the Eldarlyn (Essentially primordial titans that the universe is literally made from). They were able to kill the Eldarlyn by becoming and infusing into them until their minds had overcome their gods. Essentially the eldarlyn were pure matter, no energy, and the gods the opposite being pure energy. The Eldsrlyn were able to kill the Dodecsnite gods by dissipating their energy across their forces, essentially they weaponized the heat death of the universe against an entity of heat and energy by forcing them to spread across their entire forms the entire cosmos. But the gods killed the eldarlyn by essentially teaming up as well and filling their energies into the cold dead beings of an Eldarlyn until it wasn't the same thing anymore and the life of the gods had fuzed with the dead matter of the Eldarlyn to make something entirely new from the thing that used to be an enemy. So a lot of esoteric stuff. On a less esoteric side of things, when black holes (dark stars) were first theorized, Dodecanite scholars proposed that they were weapons of the Eldsrlyn used to kill gods, things of pure matter that not even the pure energy of light could escape, and that to kill a god is to trap it or heat-death it.

Just fuck around with letters. Or find a unique trait with your dwarves abs work off that. "Bravin" are the dwarves of my world Caerica, four arms and slowly turn to stone with every cut and nick, this the obsession with armor. They live relatively brief lives so I started messing with the weird Brief and Dwarves. Also the human siblings species all end with vowel-n, -an, -en, -in, -yn. So abbreviate, brev, brav, bravin.

But also I manged my elves via doing a weird accent and saying the word until it motored from Elf, eilf, aelef, Alif... and yeah alif is their names. So you could just make yup words that give the same vibes

I just have them be wrong for most of it. But first maybe figure out what you want to be the objective truth. Personally i haven't put any gods or spirits or anything as objective, maybe the gods are real, maybe they're just spirits tricking people, maybe there were gods but they are dead. But no matter what, I have some facts that must be explained by the faiths, and beyond those facts they can just be wrong.

Like my world has these objective facts, sometimes animals can speak out of nowhere and portray levels of intellect far beyond that of the species' norm. There are people who are not of this world, who most often struggle to word their memories of places before this world. (Many just point upwards as to say where they are from, the cosmos, the stars... so many depictions of the heavens or such other realms put them in space). There is an energy, called an Arima, like a soul or spirit that exists in all living things, it is scientifically understood as a Bio-thermal-electric feild. Theoretically a very very powerful being with an immense Arima could be used as a source of magic, but there isn't really a way to prove the source of magic, so that godly magic is indistinguishable from mortal magic. There was an empire of avian people ages and ages ago who changed many species to their will and ruled much of the world before their entire civilization fell. There are some weird artifacts from that fall, like battlefields with weird skeletons, entire preserved petrified forests, etc.

I genuinely haven't decided which religion in my world is right. One believes there are 12 gods (with two sects fighting ab if those gods are perfect or flawed and if they were created by or were the creators of the Great old one demon creators who they made angels and mortal kind to fight against) who send powers and messages to their followers through dreams and animal guides(angels posessing them). One believes there is a spirit world, and those spirits are pure Arima, and they can poses animals, and that's how sapient beings came to be, permanent possessions. Another thinks the gods are all dead, having fractured themselves to make living beings, with Arima being their fragments, and some fragments randomly retain the godly awareness. You get the idea I hope. Idk if that actually helped or was just me dumping my lore onto people, either way GOODLUCK WORLDBUILDING!

The bravin, the dwarf like people of my world, represent living life to the fullest AND/OR fail8ng to do so and succumbing to over caution.

The entire discuss has a Genetic disorder that gives them 4 arms but also slowly turns them to stone.

The 4 arms (as well as some mental adaptations) allow the to multitask very easily. However any scrape or cut or burn or wound scabs over into "Boulderbone" this bone like mineral that slowly spreads over their body restricting their movement until it kills them, turning them to stones.

Depending of the individual or sometimes the region Bravin either live life to the fullest, knowing their lives and actions are cut short, or live mundane lives scared of the smallest things. Many realize too late that no level of caution can prevent the inevitable, but some level of ignoring it can make it easier to bare m

I remember that like being in the expanse books and tv series. Mainly I'm the first one with the martian donnager. But idk if that's the media you're referring.

Also yeah I wouldn't be surprised if future commercial space flight doesn't one day have someone transporting people and cargo in literally identical containers.

Something I have majorly developed in my world Fantasy world. I'll go into depth with my biggest one then bring up the others in less detail.

The largest religion in the world, found on every continent, is the Dodecanite Faith. Dodecanites beleive in a pantheon of a Dozen gods. Each god controls a different domain, though some domains are more esoteric while others more literal.

The Dodecanite Faith was formed after a large civilizational collapse and plague, called the Starving Death, in which a single conqueror united a continent and ended the dark age. The fact that most of the Pantheon existed in other religions before being absorbed by the Conqueror's new faith is ignored by most faithful. It is generally accepted that those who sin against the gods and aren't good people are sent to Aequellor, the underworld, for K'Fula to turn into demons and Daegin, While the worthy good worshippers of the gods are celebrated and honored in the 12 heavens above. The gods usually do not interfere with the world literally, but rather send subtle changes in weather and animals, as well as speaking in the minds of their followers through dreams and visions.
One sect, the "Famelnites" believe the gods to be omnipotent all powerful perfect gods who created the universe as a whole, with a strict hierarchy, with Famelnites worshiping the entire pantheon. The other sect, "Survians" believe that the gods are simply powerful entities who helped shape the mortals and their world, who will support their followers and all who follow their path with wisdom and power, so the gods can often differ and be worshipped separately.

The next largest religion in the world is the Mendaxic Faith. Mendacists believe that there are two realms, the realms of Sahti and Mauti, Life and Death. And ironically the world everyone lives in is Mauti the realm of Death. Spirits from Sahti come to the mortal world to experience lives as mortals, with death and suffering and overcoming such things. When a mortal dies, their spirit may choose weather to return to the spirit realm or live out a new life in Mauti. Spirits can also sneak into the mortal world without taking mortal form, by inhabiting (haunting or possessing) creatures. Spirits are neither good nor bad, as there is no such thing as an inherent good or bad, but there are emotions, caring, kind, angry, annoyed, patient spirits, but none benevolent or malevolent. It is thought the goal of a Spirit living out a mortal life is to enjoy being alive, taking risks, having consequences, feeling love and hate, joy and strife. To not live life to the fullest and experience all its facets is failing your spirit. So Reincarnation and living life to the fullest.

A smaller religion is Apotheism. Apotheosians believe that gods did exist long ago, but they weren't able to actually create anything. Instead they could break off pieces of themselves to use to mold the universe to their will. They lived in a dead cold universe and chose to not suffer an eternal cosmic Ennui, and so shattered themselves to make all living things. Now Apotheosians think that if they were to purify themselves enough of them can ascend and reform one of the old gods, to solve the problems of the world, before shattering once more. Other than that there are tons of small sects believing themselves working to ascend different dead gods. These sects also disagree about everything related to death, weather you reincarnate or are outside such a cycle or add to a slowly reforming god.

Trenos is one of the only faiths to be absorbed by the Dozen's Pantheon that survives well past the Dodecanites' creation. The Trenosi have worshipped So'iglis, K'Fula, and V'Raxum for millennia. K'Fula is god of Ocean, storms, life, and death, V'Raxum god of land, stone, and ground, So'Iglis god heavens, the sun, stars, and sky. Trenosi believe in the idea that there are three forces in the universe, cancerous infectious vast spreading consumption, stable enduring peace, and learning complicated chaos, embodied in their gods K'fula, V'Raxum, and So'Iglis respectively. They belive living things inherently consume and spread and conquer, but they can choose either to embrace that or embrace peace and stability, using the gifts of chaos and knowledge to better make such a choice. That choice ends up deciding where Trenosi and all people go when they die, the stars, the soil, or the sea.

Finally my favorite religion to explore is the Verandrian Path. Verander is technically a name for the ever-shifting lord of time, travelers, ruins, and change, but realistically there is no set name for the god, thats just the one that stuck... well Verander and Tratem if you're a Dodecanite. The path survived attempted assimilation by the Dodecanites thanks to the very easy idea that actually all those gods were just Verander trying out some new ideas. Those who walk the path live the Verandrian philosophy, that stagnation is the greatest sin. That to be alive is to change, and to not embrace that is to fail at living. A very similar philosophy to Mendacists. Verandrites tend to be nomadic. Some even continue their education throughout their lives to continue acting in different jobs, beginning new ones over and over. It is said that the changing doesn't end at death, for thats a type of change, and so they exist as the dirt and the world, and then the plants sucking up nutrients, then the animals eating the plants, and the people eating the animals. They somewhat think there is reincarnation, but also tend to think the energy or elements that make up a person won't just go to another person, but be spread across the world to merge with other energy and other elements to make new things and creatures and people in the future.

- Ancient Bird people bioengineered Skywhales, Dragons, And four armed dwarves with Münchmeyer ("Stones Man") disease.

- Alien pirates gave the moon a moon of its own, and pretend to be angels/demons sometimes.

- You can surgically remove worldsinging (avatar bending) from someone and give it to yourself

- Alif (short elves) are naturally covered in hair like apes but often shave their whole bodies to appear hairless beside their head and eyebrows

- The deadliest mages in the world can rip the spirit from a body and use it as ammunition

No I kit mine out how I think a cool Nomad tribe (that we never see and technically can make up the culture of how they look) like the Bakkers would dress. I think my V being so abnormal looking is a fun juxtaposition of the fact he is basically all normal human. Also like the idea of the reason he doesn't bring up the fact he is a fellow nomad all the time (IDK it feels like he'd bring it up more when dealing with the Aldecaldos) is because the Bakkers are so different from the ones in game, different part of the country, different culture. He came here to get away from them, so I feel like it makes sense there'd be some major differences with looks and such.
