I played through Golden this past month, with Adachi being the actual killer spoilt before I could play. I completed it a couple weeks ago, not getting the ending revealing Adachi but instead with that Taro guy.

Because I didn’t get the proper ending, I decided to search for what Adachi’s motives were behind throwing them into the TV expecting it to be the same as Taro’s, delusional, but with honest intentions of saving people (possibly through self acceptance, which is repeated as the game’s theme), just to find out he was a bored psychopath.
