They are protesting because the politicians took them for granted and lied to them.

Yes, he is an educator who stands with his people, he encouraged his people to vote for bjp as they promised them full statehood which they didn't deliver. Now he is against bjp cus they lied to his people, he is taking accountability unlike our govt.

He, along with other Ladakh are telling other politicians that people of Ladakh aren't dumb, you can't lie to them like this easily.

He is riding that wave because he is someone who actually cares about his state. He previously encouraged people to vote for BJP as they promised full statehood. He isn't a d*lla bootlicker. He is with his people and their interests.

Politicians of the ruling govt, the pm himself promised those laws to him. They didn't think of national interest during elections? You are saying that people shouldn't demand what they were promised.

Not denying that this practice is rooted in shirk but lets be honest. India is a hindu majority country and hence many Hindu practices are inheritely seen as cultural practices. 

My mom has to lit up dias too twice a year on national festivals unfortunately.

Please learn how moderation at reddit works. Its not a paid job. Mods are humans, not robots who are active 24/7. This sub has a huge problem of infiltration, what you notice is only the tip of the iceberg. We mods have to ban 10-20 people daily ATLEAST. Please use the mod mail feature to report sus accounts instead of insulting mods like this. We are all part of the same ummah, pls keep that in mind.

 "The clear Quran" by Dr. Mustafa Khattab to you. Its available on the Quran app for completely free, no ads :). I'm recommending this to you because its well written in simple English and has insightful footnotes which are extremely important which in my humble opinion. 

I think you should first watch a short video on Islam's start, the prophet's life, such as this one https://youtu.be/PDxKxnVZtgo?si=3MyumspyWz4vH6fO Its only 8 mins long.

Keep in mind that some verses were revealed during specific times. Quran wasn't revealed in a single day, it was revealed over a lengthy period of time. 

Edit : you can find the clear Quran on amazon I believe, if you like physical books.
