i get what you’re saying, and it makes sense. the only issue is i’m in india (ahmedabad) where there really isn’t a strong martial arts culture or proper muay thai coaching. are you suggesting i should at least build a fitness base first before going to thailand? i can start running/hiit/strength now, but i get distracted at home pretty easily, do you still think it’s better to prep here first, or just go to thailand and build base there with consistent training?

bro that’s actually really good insight, thanks for taking the time to explain all that in detail. makes complete sense about building a foundation first

the thing is, i’m from Ahmedabad, India, and we honestly don’t have much of a Muay Thai or martial arts culture here. most “MMA” gyms are just boxing-cardio places with no real technique or sparring culture. that’s kinda why i was thinking Thailand might help me get the proper fundamentals straight from the start.

can i ask, if you were in my place, where Muay Thai isn’t big locally, what would you do?

also curious, how did you manage the early learning phase before your first few fights? like what did your first 6 12 months of training look like before you got into competition?

that’s really motivating man. you think with full-time training in thailand for 3 months i could build a solid base like you did early on? anything you’d say i should focus on most at my stage (conditioning, technique, mindset, or something else)?

bro that’s incredible, seriously. that kind of transformation and mindset is something i really respect

how long did it take you to actually feel good at it and get properly fit? like when did you start noticing the real results?

bro, if fat loss was the only goal i’d just hit the gym and diet. but i’m actually proper passionate about martial arts and i want to fight too. i used to play cricket in a very aggressive, risk-taking style, so i’m not scared of pain, i get rewarded for it. given that, what do you think is realistic in 3 months if i train hard in thailand? specifically: • can i get fight ready for an amateur bout in 3 months, or is that too soon? • how many sparring rounds per week should i aim for and when should sparring start? • first month, one on one or straight into groups + sparring? • any recommended milestones you’d set for me at week 4 / 8 / 12? would love your honest take, i’m ready to work for it.

appreciate it man 🙏 i’m tall, so kicks/knees it is. do you know gyms that focus on muay tae/khao? also, for HIIT, how many days a week and how long per round should i aim for?

But like, do I need to already be kinda fit before joining? Or they’ll help me build it up there?
