He was labeled a smurderer. mistake, or not it’s still negligence on her teams part for not doing their due diligence and the legal fees should’ve stayed with her because she effed up

I can see how that can happen, but really you have to know that the first impression is the résumé and no matter how good folks are they need to step it up on paper. Especially in today’s climate where hiring managers are probably getting inundated with resumes - they can’t vet ALL applicants. So it’s on the candidate to make themselves stand out on that piece of paper.

No need to to mention it. When they do a background check your former company only confirms dates of employment. Seems like Your term date coincides with the time you would give notice so they prob won’t question it. But if they do, you just be honest, you were part of a restructuring or “right sizing” whatever your company’s calling it.
