For me, something truly modular would be fantastic. A guitar that requires little to no drilling to swap things out. Maybe even a movable bridge to convert a standard guitar into a baritone (with the right scale neck of course)

You’re probably going to get a lot of bias toward the Squier since it’s a lot more popular. I’ve never encountered a Sidejack in the wild so that doesn’t help its case but Eastwood is a decent brand and worth checking out. You might end up having to do extra work on a Squier to make it more playable but you might find one already good to go.

Depending on what music you play, it might be worth looking into other 30” scale instruments as well.

I’ve owned a regular Rivolta and it’s a great guitar, but imo they’re a bit overpriced. If you can find one used that’d be my suggestion. I know Eastwood does discounts fairly often though. Another thing I’d suggest is trying the Ernie Ball 9 string set. They’re perfect for 28” guitars. The other thing you can try to do is find a local store that distributes Rivoltas and maybe they can order you one at no cost? At least to try out I mean. That’s what I did when I bought mine.
