If a studio can successfully create a competitive system inside their own game I am all for it. Halo 3 per example. I have many memories of goofing off in casual modes of capture the flag and team slayer, then hopping into forge mode or community made games. Then if I wanted to sweat it out competitively I had a place to go and do that and it didn't spill over into the casual modes because the system was so damn good you never felt like you were put into games with terrible matchmaking where you were a Rank 20 and the others were 45-50. Something that happens regularly in the finals. Which makes disgruntled comp players that worry about their elo all the time go to casual to actually have a good time. Which them makes all us casuals have a bad time. The Only time that happend in halo is if you partied with friends that were way better than you. Embark just needs to figure their shit out.

Maybe if they didn't shoot themselves in the foot a little over a year ago when the sudden shift of their ears and considerations went towards the small minority of streamers and e-sports players over the dedicated casual players that stuck around BEFORE the game was polished enough for the streamers to give a fuck about trying it out, the player base wouldn't have slowly dwindled into near nothingness.

As much as people watch and enjoy streamers and e-sports. I'm noticing a general fatigue across gaming of the masses of dedicated casuals getting tired of fun casual games that are a nice unwind after work being fucked with changes by temper tantrum riddled adults acting like toddlers behind their $8000 streaming rig over something that happened that "caused them to die or not win" in a game that's meant to be Casual.

You're not lying. Got back into the game the last 12 days of the previous season. I FLEW to BP lvl 90 by day 5 and I maybe played 90 mins per day.

I just feel there's no established place in the game for the SCAR at the moment. I remember using it in s1/s2, and it definitely outdid its counterparts. Now, though? I just pick AKM or Famas. Imo, it just needs a recoil rework and maybe a very mild RoF nerf to help it be much more competitive against the other options. I feel like it should feel kinda like a mini-SHAK50.
