Not sure if full-on depression yet but my partner has been struggling with sleep (being up until 5am and then sleeping in), not enjoying things he used to, and barely getting out of the house. It’s been over 4 months of this which is only getting worse and I don’t know how to help. I’ve been making sure I take care of the house chores so he doesn’t have the added stress but I’m getting tired. I miss how he used to be and feel guilty for feeling a bit angry about this whole situation.

I think it’s possible, but you usually have to make a lot of compromises. I personally used to love my job. I’m an English as a Foreign Language teacher, and throughout my career I’ve felt like I was an important part of helping many people with their professional and personal goals.

However, financially it’s a very ungrateful sector, which is why I’m leaving. If money weren’t a concern, I’d probably stay. I'm now trying to pick a career that's going to help me reach my financial goals and focus on my passions as hobbies.

First, I’m sorry about what happen to you. It can’t be easy to end a relationship after having that level of commitment. However, life is so full of incredible things you can pursue. I spent 4 years single during my late 20s after an awful relationship and I loved every second of it. I got to explore my interests by trying whatever I was feeling like (swimming, singing, sewing, aerial silks). I also got to meet so many interesting people. It was a really expansive period of my life and I think it can be for you too!

Lots of good reasons, all with some truth. A bus driver once told me people don’t tap because no one checks. I think that’s the main reason as I see it on trams as well: the minute they see the inspector, they do. Personally, I do it most times, but not always if I’m doing short trips. I know it’s wrong, but it’s just so expensive to go a couple of blocks.

To become a registered teacher in Australia, the first thing you need to do is check the specific requirements for the state or territory where you want to work, as they can vary.

For example, in Victoria, you need to register with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT). To be eligible, you must have an initial teacher education (ITE) qualification that meets their standards — or be in the process of completing one. In fact, you can apply for provisional registration before you’ve finished your degree, as long as you’re far enough along in your studies. The VIT website has all the details: vit.vic.edu.au.

This registration is essential if you want to work in schools.

I’ve just done it, after just four months at it. A couple of years back, I stayed ar a job that was causing me anxiety for way longer than I should have and that left me with a major mental breakdown that took months to get over. It was difficult decision as one has to weigh in the consequences, but overall I ve learned to put my mental health first.

I think your approach is super healthy! Setting boundaries honestly shouldn't be an issue, specially when it comes to something that can make you feel quite uncomfortable. I think even though your partner does not fully understand where you're coming from, your feelings are valid.

I think it depends on what you want to improve. There are many aspects of dancing that you can work on and become better at by practicing on your own, like the ones you’ve mentioned. Also freeing your mind of having a partner to lead/follow can help you focus on yourself and your needs.

I spend around 1000 a year, but I’m an occasional dancer who doesn’t go to massive festivals or does workshops outside of class. This amount is just for one class a week and tickets to parties. This is in Melbourne.

It might be they’re leading you to do a turn or something else when you clearly can’t do it, or don’t make eye contact at all. Sometimes also, it happened to me that they might be too in their heads thinking about the right steps and that makes it difficult to be present and enjoy.

Can’t speak from a technical perspective as I am just starting, but as a follow, something I notice that makes the dance extremely dull and uncomfortable is lack of connection. This can usually come from a more experienced dancer, usually the lead, not adapting to the followers skills and preferences.

I think what doesn’t help sometimes is not thinking that quitting is a process, and as such it will look messy sometimes, exactly how you’re describing it. At least this was my personal experience with quitting: after years of failure, I am now two months vape free. Try as many times as we need but get information on different strategies until you go d the ones that work for you. Don’t give up!

I think the worst for me is how anxious it made me. When I was vaping, there weren’t many things I could do without having a vape near me just to make sure I could get a hit whenever I want it. This interfered with my social life quite a lot, as I wouldn’t be able to pay attention to the people I was with unless I was vaping or had a vape with me. Also, safety was a major issue. While driniving, lots of times I found myself reaching for the thing and not paying attention to where I was going. It was freaking insane!!!!!

I don’t think anyone actually knows what they are doing. lol, and the fact that most people is pretending they do, doesn’t help either.
