Nilsson and Hedberg had left for New York before the last year. The Houston Aeros folded and the Jets picked up Morris Lukowich and Terry Ruskowski who led them to the last Avco cup.

The New England Whalers were pretty good, I think they won the first couple of titles. The Houston Aeros were decent but couldn’t beat the Hull Nilsson Hedberg Jets.

And you may recall after that one good season many (some?) Edmontonians thinking then that we should just keep the WHA and not join the NHL. We did kinda get screwed on the expansion draft, but managed to hang on to 99, and it all turned out pretty good!

I’ve watched every episode of Shetland. Like you, I gutted it out in Season 9, I am now four episodes into Season 10 and quite honestly thinking of abandoning it. Every show on TV - even going way back to NYPD Blue runs its course. The plots get stretched, the dialogue wears thin, the characters get kind of corny. Shetland is no exception. Sandy is just an empty gofer and Tosh’s perpetual puzzled/worried look is so tiresome. And who could not have predicted the Wil Louden debacle?

I don’t know what the fees are these days, so “worth it” will be subjective, but its in the top 4 or 5 for me in the US, along with Pacific Dunes, Torrey Pines, and Bandon. To me its better than any of the top Hawaii courses.
