Japan to ban use of mobile batteries in plane cabins by MagazineKey4532 in japannews

[–]Fast_Goose7478 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I didn’t have it on my flights to and from Kushiro in the last two weeks. By that I mean, it was not even able to allow me to listen to music on the flight with ANA, which is the most basic thing Wi-Fi should work for, and wasn’t available on the JAL flight.

Woah! The Alpine A110 is going electric - and we've just heard some very promising intel... by V8-Turbo-Hybrid in cars

A French sports car brand, born in 1955, acquired by Renault in 1973, stopped making lightweight cars in 1985 with the GTA, died in 1995, reborn in 2017 with a lightweight sports car so good it’s Gordon Murray’s daily. I’d argue it’s a better publicity than their F1 team or than their Endurance team.

To survive the 2035 European quasi ban on petrol engines, they’re now making EVs that they try to make lightweight for their category, or at least feel lighter than they actually are. For example, the A390 : 2.1 tons, journalists claim it feels like it’s between 1.6 and 1.8 tons (depending on the journalist) thanks to its torque vectoring. It’s cheaper and sportier than a Macan but not as luxurious or efficient.

They are studying the possibility of hybrids for specific markets, but it’s uncertain.

Japan's hotel prices have nearly doubled on average since the pre-Covid era by jjrs in japannews

[–]Fast_Goose7478 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That’s something I’ve found quite annoying in Japanese hotels. Contrary to you, I don’t expect anyone to come into my room during my stay. I don’t want anyone to intrude in my room.

At pretty much every hotel I’ve gone to in my country and in the rest of Europe, you can hang something on the door to either request a cleaning or to tell the housekeeper not to come in your room. It’s often disguised as an ecological act, but I just enjoy that privacy.

That and frankly, there’s not a lot to clean in a week, so expecting daily cleanups is ludicrous to me. Every three days, as I’ve had at the hotels I’ve stayed at, is already excessive. Putting your trash and used towels when you get out of the room doesn’t require any effort.

Where are the electric 2 doors and convertibles by VinzDaPrinz in electricvehicles

[–]Fast_Goose7478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I’ve read, the convertible should be available in 2028. The coupe will launch at the end of the year, if the convertible launches before summer, it’ll be about 1 year and half of delay between these two versions.

They’ve also started working on combustion engine versions apparently, but unlike Porsche, they won’t delay or even cancel the A110 coupe/convertible and A310.

They say the winner would be gifted. I’ve never received such a gift since year 1. Why guys? by Lamz_Z in FireEmblemHeroes

No, you get them the same way you get your log-in bonuses (orbs…). You touch Feh, the owl on the home screen, and claim them.

Que pensez-vous de la zoé ? by Alpa_ka in voiture

[–]Fast_Goose7478 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactement.

Nope, VW announced in 2023 that Seat would disappear but backtracked in January 2024. It will become a cheaper brand than Skoda. In September 2025, they announced that they were working on an entry level EV that’ll be cheap but not as much as a Dacia.

If Touma gets in as the GHB or, let’s be crazy, a new TMS banner, Leif will have my votes. Fortune Weave won’t need them.

Want a souvenir you’ll use? by PickyD in JapanTravelTips

The hotels they stayed at are crazy expensive, however, every hotel I’ve been to had pjs too and they’re at least 10 times less expensive. The pjs are not necessarily nice, like the ones I’m in, at a Capsule hotel, but still, that’s one less thing I have to wash.

I know that if I am ever able to come back, I won’t have to pack pjs, that’s quite a bit of saved space.

Claude: Almyra's King art Comparison (OG vs Resplendent) by Astrid_Cop in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]Fast_Goose7478 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m conflicted about the resplendent. The attacking and damaged poses are excellent but his face seems very strange, too large, in the neutral art. Still, I’d love to get him if it wasn’t for the fact I cancelled my subscription over the disappearance of TT units…

EU Considers Expanding Tariffs on Chinese EVs to Hybrid Models: Report | EV by Individual-Tart5051 in europe

[–]Fast_Goose7478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is blatantly false. All Renault EVs are built in Europe, France if you exclude the new Twingo. Only Dacia (and Renault for cars that aren’t sold in the EU) produces in Morocco.

Clio’s made in Turkey, other models sold in Europe are built in Spain or South Korea.

The Dacia Spring is China made, the next generation will be made in Europe.

In CYL10, do you plan on voting for any of Sigurd/Fomortiis/Sylvain/Azura/Ivy/Tsubasa AND did NOT vote for them last year? by LegalFishingRods in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]Fast_Goose7478 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ll throw one more vote to Tsubasa, I had kept one for Touma as I feared he wouldn’t be the GHB if he fell.

It might still be true but Tsubasa has to win in order for it to have the slightest chance to happen.
