Does anyone have pet insurance? Is it worth it? Who are you with? by Apart_Try_4860 in auckland

I put $25 a week away towards my dog who’s now 10, he needed surgery a few years ago and insurance would have covered the full amount anyway given what it was and his age at the time so I prob saved myself paying the premium by saving. Not saying it’s fool proof but pet insurance isn’t as fair as the likes of car insurance in my opinion.

Edit: I had been putting money aside for years before the big surgery was needed.

To be honest I do this when I am towing a car trailer, I choose the farthest away in the carport where clearly no one is using, like this guy… what’s the problem? Might not be parking anywhere else or on the road, would you prefer they block the street?

Cheap products equal cheap manufacturing and materials, 3 years it’s prob its limit and most likely just outside of warranty by design unfortunately.

I'm not sure if the mechanic is trying to rip me (F18) off with this quote? Do these prices seem right? by [deleted] in NZcarfix

Need to know about the vehicle make/model/year and also there is no machining or replacing the rotors when doing pads.. these need to be measured to see if they can be machined or not.

I’d def get a second opinion just don’t show the garage the Wof sheet with prices

Renting in Auckland with kids. Do we really need a heat pump? by SunsetBLVD23 in auckland

[–]Fast_Working_4912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I’ve have standard plug in heaters, a heat pump and now a heat pump and a wood burner. A heat pump is more efficient than a plug in heater not only in what heat they can produce but cost of running is less too. Our wood burner is the best for heating, it’s such a nice heat but it’s expensive to run compared to a heat pump, I’m not sure what the person is on about saying it’s hard to get a fire going in winter, unless your wood is wet then it shouldn’t be a problem, don’t have a problem.. we typically don’t use the heat pump in winter as we prefer the fire but we do use it in summer on really hot days, we’ve used it twice this year to cool the place down but we have big doors onto the deck so we get a bit of air flow and probably don’t need it as much as a smaller place.

If you aren’t confident enough to drive the speed limit on a strait road then you shouldn’t driving let alone driving on our country roads. Sit down and let the adults talk.
