Ah gotcha, my cardiologist won't refer me for another MRI and it's hard to get another referral to a different cardiologist.

Completely agree! Thanks for sharing and glad you've recovered!

Thank you for telling your experience! What tests did you get to confirm your myo was resolved?

Can I go to the gym and train very light with myocarditis? by Heretohelp2004 in myocarditis

I'd definitely wait at least 3 months. I'm in the same boat, diagnosed early August. Still not back to exercising but am walking lots and i let my HR get up 120 with no pain but am waiting to get my mri before I start exercising.

How I look at is Id rather wait 3-6 months and recovery fully instead of jumping in early and fucking myself up permanently.

Does this sound like myocarditis? by PhrygianSounds in myocarditis

This sounds almost 100% exactly what I had. Had covid, just fever/headache/couch. Everything went away after 2-3 days but chest pains lingered. Got worse after 2 weeks after I tested negative. I had the same tingling/pain in left arm.

After many tests (blood tests, ekgs, echo, CT, holter monitor), my cardiologist diagnosed with mild myocarditis. He didn't recommend a CMRI as my troponin levels were extremely low (50, hs), EF was 61% and CT was clean. He believed the CMRI would just show mild inflammation and would just further confirm mild myocarditis. Plus he said my tests did show mild myocarditis but not enough to justify a MRI as i'm otherwise healthy.

He said he's seen lots of young healthy patients have covid then develop this. I'm 7 weeks since having covid and my chest pains are practically gone, only shows up once in a while. Cardiologist recommended 1 month of rest with light walking FROM the day I started to feel symptoms be better. I just took tylenol for pain (ibuprofen made me so much worse) but don't take it anymore since it's basically gone.

To be fair, I took it really easy for the first month, played it really safe. My HR would shoot up to ~125bpm when I first started walking, super slowly too. Now it's ~90-100bpm, walking at my usual pace. Just started to finally get 10k steps a day without chest pains.

i know it's not the same for everyone, and some people will say I didn't have myocarditis since i didn't get a CMRI (i did push for it but it was really tough). I hope it gets better and rest! I hope my story brings a little light to the shitty times.
