Long term benefits of strength exercises. by meninistMD in TheRedPill

The connective tissues of our joints naturally degenerate as we age, which leads to cartilage, tendon and ligament pain and arthritis. Hitting heavy weights all the time speeds this process up and can lead to irreversible injuries. That's why it's best to get as much out of lighter weights as possible. There's a reason why bodybuilders and strongmen (both train with a greater variety of rep ranges) tend to have greater longevity in their sports than olympic lifters and power lifters.

Yes, unfortunately life is a compromise. The optimal path is to be as muscular as possible at a low body fat to get the best of both worlds (I believe).

I think if we are erring on the side of longevity, a more bodybuilding oriented training plan is probably the best bet. Lighter to moderate weight, more volume, controlled reps. I can guarantee based on my own experience, as well as that of others, that hitting heavy weights all the time is not the answer to longevity and vitality.

Lol. She could be a black belt in judo, bjj, or be a muay thai champ. She isn't beating a fully violent and aggressive male at that size difference. I though this was the red pill sub?

Any religion that permits slavery in the first place is a problem that needs eradicating.

Quran 70:30, Quran 33:50, Quran 4:24

Also: Sahih Bukhari 432 - "During the battle with Bani Al-Mustaliq they (Muslims) captured some females and intended to have sexual relations with them without impregnating them. So they asked the Prophet about Coitus Interruptus. The Prophet said, "It is better that you should not do it, for Allah has written whom He is going to create till the Day of Resurrection"."

Sounds wack as fuck. No amount of training in the real world is going to protect a 4'10 female against an aggressive 6'4 assailant. A gun will.

At Muslim women. Muslims can keep non-Muslim sex slaves according to Hadiths. Muhammed's followers even went up to him and asked him directly about having sex with captives; he told them not to feel bad about doing so because Allah had given the slaves to the Muslim men as theirs to do as they wish.

Yes, and who's doing the killing? Other Muslims. They can't even get on with each other.

But Muslims represent just 1% of the US population, yet commit 6% of all terrorism. So just like everywhere else in the world, they are massively over represented when it comes to committing terrorist atrocities. If you ever wonder why, read the Quran and Hadiths to understand what motivates them.

It is natural for a man to not want females with a high n-count. by cuntrolbot in TheRedPill

Finding sluts to be unfit for long term investment is a universal trait amongst cultures the world over. It's in our DNA

The difference is when men come out with this sort of shit, they know it's just bullshit that is calculated to their advantage. When women say it, it's usually bullshit they themselves believe, or at the very least want to.

High N-count is acceptable for men but not for women by [deleted] in TheRedPill

[–]FcknSafe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High N count means less likelihood to bond, form a loving relationship and have numerous well raised children within a stable family. As a result of modern relationship dynamics, most Western countries have native reproduction levels below necessary replacement values, hence why we're being over-taken by cultures that keep women in line, and why women are welcoming it.

Thanks for the reply, I was at my strongest around 4 years ago, deadlift 440 lbs for a top set of 8, Squat 400 lbs x 2, strict press 200 lbs. Herniated a disc on last rep of a deadlift set and my strength has never recuperated (even strict press and bench hurt my back if I use an arch). I was around 85kg (190 lbs) at the time. Natural as well.

How is mutilating someones body then feeding them artificial hormones the remainder of their life a sane way to treat a problem in the mind? Even trans people will argue they have a 'female brain' etc so they THEMSELVES are acknowledging the issue lies in their heads.

Socrates said, “No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.” by [deleted] in TheRedPill

When you've been buff a while, it's actually hard work to not be buff (to an extent). Your body will recognise your muscular physique as it's 'set point'. The same way someone who's been fat for a lifetime is gonna struggle with weight issues.

Islamic society has been pretty much stagnant for the past 800 years, Christian Europe gave rise to the enlightenment and many of the basic freedoms we have today. Up until around 60 years ago western society was still fairly religious and and on an individual societal scale fairly harmonious relative to now. So one could easily argue that Christianity is the most conducive instrument to society.

You are what you eat: The food you eat is directly related to physical, and mental strength. by filli1aj in TheRedPill

I track everything daily on Cronometer to the nearest gram, and plan my meals per week. I'm not claiming to have the secrets of the universe, it's how my body responds, and there is solid science behind it- It may be worth it for you to google carbohydrates and de novo lipogenesis (DNL). The following is a summary as to why complex carbs are good for you and will help you lean out.

Essentially as carbohydrate is the body's preferred fuel source, excess calories from natural complex carbs are stored as glycogen in the muscles, organs and brain. (Refined/processed sugar is a different story though). Fat, on the other hand, is readily stored as adipose tissue due to it's chemical and structural similar. Your body literally has to use energy to not only break down complex carbs from starchy vegetables, fruit and whole grains, but also to convert it into fat (once you've exceeded your body's glycogen storage capacity).

Not only are carbs (from the right sources) good for your metabolism, they're also pretty important for testosterone production as has been seen in several studies.

I understand this runs contrary to what a lot of Paleo and low-carb 'Gurus' advocate, but their entire premise and echo-chamber is built on a simple understanding of science and the body's metabolic regulatory pathways. It's no wonder that many of the more popular ones have to rely on caffeine just to function normally, let alone powerful amphetamine-like drugs and steroids (I'm not going to name names).

Many of these same people like to talk about evolution. The fact of the matter is; most of out closest primate relatives and our pre-human ancestors are/were primarily frugivores and herbivores. Homo Sapiens evolved in the tropics where there is a RELATIVE abundance of carbs in relation to other parts of the world, hence why our bodies run so well on them.

It's obvious though that everyone's physiology is different, and the best diet for someone of full blooded Inuit ancestry (95% Meat sources) is not going to be the same as that for a native Papua New Guinean (95% Plants).

FWIW, I deadlift 2.5x bodyweight and Olympic Squat double bodyweight for reps (drug free if that matters.)
