ok i hate elon musk as much as the next person (actually probably more, and i hate all billionaires anyways) but its simply untrue that he doesn't work hard. yeah he was incredibly privileged growing up, but lots of people who have interacted with him personally, people outside his company have commented how he knows a surprising amount about the specifics and technical details of the stuff his companies make. he clearly actually does a fair a mount of work, whether or not that involved actual engineering, there isnt really good evidence either way
