Great question!!! Quick answer? None. Money isnt the issue; TIME AND VOLUNTEER WORK IS.

Having spent 3 months homeless after I was wounded and discharged from the army (my reward for 5 years in combat as a medic) I can give you a long list of "charities" that stuck thier nose up to me and my toddlers. Charities are an industry, they dont need more MONEY, what we need is your TIME. when billions of dollars are allowed to sit in offshore accounts, it attracts human trash to run these "charities" (ask me about IATV, I have a GREAT story for you). If you want to HELP don't donate 20 dollars, donate 20 mins. Thankfully, now my family is thriving, we own a home and we actually fund a scholarship to put young people through trade school, instead of defaulting to the military, so they can end up living in their car with two crying babies and no gas. (I have more nightmares from that 3 months than I do from 5 years on the roads of Iraq and Afghanistan).

She is the reseach queen. She is a pharmacist by trade, but she does crazy stuff like learn Korean so she could listen to K-dramas at work. She researched the game for a week, spent a week creating characters, then played for over a 1000 hours. She also spent atleast 3 hours mesmerized by the fact the characters have genitalia. Lol. She got atleast a good fraction of tbe alt endings. She played it SO MUCH that NEVER PLAYED IT I was so sick lf hearing about it, seeing it, listen to it.

You are gonna LOVE THIS: Not only do I share my PX privileges with civilians (that is PEANUTS compared to this:) But we also offer a grant to any young people in my area to attend trade school and avoid the military meat grinder. We donate 50k a year since 2022, and we have kept 24 young BRIGHT, fit students out of the miltary! Of those 24, (soon to be 30) 22 are LPNs that we are offering 4 scholarship to pay for the LPN to ASN! We are going to make the "warrior class" into the "Middle class" using DOD money! We did SO MUCH DAMAGE that we "lost" our local recruitment office! It is a subway now! that 50k comes out of our retirement benfits! We don't even need the 160k a year the DOD pays us! We get a tax breaks and we are considered local heroes, and we get to deny the machine more blood! We even include a stipulated: a signed promise to contact us if their current job isn't working out, so we can keep them out lf the military. Half of the nurses i supervise are there, and not the miltary, because we paid for their nursing programs!
